Sucks how? Keep in mind I don't own one, but why does it suck? It is too early to make this judgement IMHO.

Only if you count the multi-plat games, that for the most part end up on the PC anyway. Nintendo has by far the best exclusives, and if you have a gaming PC it easily makes the most sense to get a Wii U.

So, Nintendo struggles, and people say they should go third party.

Nintendo does well, and people STILL say they should go third party.

They just can't win.

It's simple really, people don't like their consoles. The Wii was, IMO, a train wreck getting only one or two game I was interested in a year. The fact that the Wii didn't multiplat games like Skyrim really killed it.

Agreed. They got no one to blame but themselves. I talked about it in the current/next gen thread. Nintendo's biggest enemy is themselves with their stupid hardware decisions.

Then they should go software only?

Because the N64 and Gamecube had good hardware.

How many times have you asked this?

YES! I want Nintendo to drop out of the console race and create games (and handhelds) only.

Actually their bad hardware decisions started with the N64. They don't want to keep up with the trends and what people and developers want/choose. This has hurt them a great deal.

How can they make their next console successful.

Make it a handheld.

Do you work for Nintendo?

No. I just don't support them going software only.

Hardware that can go toe to toe with Sony and Microsoft. And a media format like blueray/digital. This should/would make 3rd party development to be equal for them.

Thats it really. A better online system too, but the hardware thing is more important IMHO.

Didn't they have hardware that can go toe-to-toe with Sony in the Gamecube?

Yes. It actually had better hardware, but then they made the stupid decision of going with the retarded mini-discs and leaving out DVD support. Back then it was a very appealing feature of the PS2 and Xbox

In Mario Party 10, you can play as Bowser, apparently.

Like there aren't enough ways to be an ******* in the Mario Party games.

Imagine if it has voice chat.

To be honest, neither do I. They're a company based on gaming, unlike Sony and Microsoft.

That said, their video game consoles have been behind for two generations. Not in terms of sales obviously, but in terms of quality and accessibility. There's a reason why most third party developers who create multiplatform games stick to PC, PS3/4, and the Xbox 360/Xbone.

And making handhelds only would not be going software only.

But I support them still making consoles.

At least Nintendo can say the Wii U had 1080p capabilities before the other consoles....for what thats worth...
