"see, if you were willing to hurt me, you might have had me there"

she was toying with him, basically doing the same thing Oberyn did to Gregor. She was not trying to kill him, or even hurt him.

what's written in the book is irrelevant.

I disagree. There are other things he says that contradict your position:

"You shouldn't grimace before you lunge. It gives away the game."

A lunge is definitely not a parry.

The growling she does at 1:52 as she goes to strike him is telling that she's fighting with all her might and fury.

I agree with you, that after Jaime says, ""Bit of a quandary for you, If you kill me, you fail lady Stark", she fights much more defensively. She fights less ragey and more defensive, basically.

Also, the show fight fits with the book a lot better than I thought it originally did. He really does give her a run for her money until he gets tuckered out, just like the books. The difference, though, she really really really gets the best of him in the show, towards the end of the fight.

So like the books.

So you agree with focus and not me?

To make it clear:

My position is that, in the books, Brienne did not have a choice but to defend because of Jaime's onslaught UNTIL he got worn out.

To me, focus' position is that, in the show and the books, Jaime got his ass handed to him before and after Jaime got tuckered out.

Except of course the writers deliberately told us 2 eps ago that he's "slowing down" because of the infection/sickness. Did you not pay attention and missed something else again? Seems you did.

More flips. You clearly do not like the character; it started right when you heard I liked the character. This is you and your tired old antics.

You hate The Hound now; I laugh at you.

I can feel like shit today and be fine tomorrow. He was fine at the time of the fight he started. Obviously he didn't feel it was a hindrance and we see him visually fight or perform just fine. Even better than usual I'd say honestly.

I don't hate the character I just don't relate to someone who begs girls to kill him after a woman just defeated him skill wise and punched his lights out.

😂

I can't stop 😂 at this remarkable turn of events.

Love the show. 🙂

Focus, why do you hate dadudemon so much?

Jesus dude, I haven't seen this much hatred for another person since I brought up a black boyfriend to my dad (This never actually happened, I'm not that dumb).

His girlish feelings have been trampled on so many times he spills his hatred onto the boards. I've never seen someone emotionally lash out as often as he does. I've never seen anyone more upset in all my seven years of forum hopping. I've seen lots of rage and crying as well.

Keep trying too hard. The point of those scenes was to tell us he was getting sick and worse cos of it. The show > your tears /fact

You clearly hate the character, best part you barely knew who the Hound was until you heard me say "I like the Hound" and now you hate one of the show's best characters. You made this thread to do your same old tired antics, I control you; it makes me laugh.

I think Brienne is a pretty good character too. Hate on her now 🙂

We see he had an infection that he ignored due to his fear of flames. We see him fight just fine and actually get shown up every which way you can lose a fight to beg a child to kill him. Best part ever is when he admitted he didn't have one happy memory. As I said earlier a victim through and through even to his bitter end. A joyless life hence you relating to him.

Quit being upset your fave can't beat a woman in a fistfight after he lost a sword fight.

You hate the Hound (aka Sandor Clegane, FYI) because you heard me say that I like him. Hating one of the show's best, because I made you. I laugh at you.

relevant or not, the show agrees with the book: brienne was not trying to harm jamie. ddm is just trolling, obviously.

She obviously didn't just slap him aside, as he's still deadly even tired and out of practice, but she was holding back as noted. Had she not been, she could have killed him in the state he was in. Which is no insult to Jamie, considering he was not at his best and she's a great fighter.

It's also telling that Jamie's battle prowess kind of makes her wet. She respects ability.

I do not hate him I pity him. I don't care for Brienne at all. I liked Sandor far more than her but I can't relate to either character.

Iyo not mine. Sandor doesn't make my top five characters. He isn't that strong since he can't even beat a woman down.

Why are you being a misogynist quan?

Do not use words the others obviously don't understand. I taught Robbie about irony and that is his favorite go to now. Baby steps.

So why are you being sexist towards women quan?

Don't be a sexist twit, Quan. Brienne is a huge woman who physically overpowers men easily. Sandor being beaten by her (with a rock) isn't a knock against him, it just shows how great she is.

I do think the Viper would win though.

Lack of testosterone. That is why men are stronger.

She is a big woman but doesn't have the size nor the testosterone of Sandor. Sandor used a blade after he didn't kill him first. She used the rock and then beat him to a pulp after she tried sparing the dishonorable, ungrateful, depressed individual.

Viper stomps.

So you prefer men then?

Called it.

I said I don't hate him I just can't relate to him. You can. Were you beat up often as a youth by bullish women ?
