Yeah Peggy and Howard Starks ages are messed up. Have been since CA1.

It's a future problem. Marvel was able to move up Tony Stark's origin as Iron Man from Vietnam to Afghanistan without a hitch. But in a generation, Howard being his father while also being around in WW2 won't be believable. They'll have to change it then.

Marvel, unlike DC, has a few characters who's origins are deeply entwined with WW2; along with Howard Stark, it's Captain America, Nick Fury and Magneto. Cap can always be stuck in the ice for more decades. The movies have already discarded Nick Fury's WW2 origins, and none of the Howling Commando's are alive & active in the present day.
Magneto is the one they will have to redefine; a holocaust survivor active in the present day doesn't make sense, the further in to the future we go.

Magneto's powers keep him young.

So, Civil War had a HUGE 74% drop off from Friday to Friday. It earned only %19.4 million on it's second Friday. But, if it's anything like last week the real earnings are going to come today and Sunday. It's still estimated to pull in $70+ million for the weekend.

Still, Pretty horrid drop off for the film.

Especially for one so well received.

to me, it's expected but since the film will be at or around $900 million worldwide and IT IS ONE OF THE BEST COMIC BOOK MOVIES of all time and Marvel's best(1st being Winter Soldier) then I'm pretty sure Disney is really happy

Why wasn't it named Avengers: Civil War?

Because it was Captain America's movie. He was the star, he was the main character and in the most action scenes. He also came away from it besting both Spider-Man and Iron Man. His decisions ultimately were the driving force of the movie; and finally it's about friendship and more importantly what he was willing to do for Bucky.

Fatigue.

Seemed more Iron Man to me.

Wrong. Though Iron Man was definitely the second biggest catalyst. Iron Man's way would have meant 0 conflict...but the Avengers would be "Slaves". Cap's way meant they'd be outlawed but at least they could protect people when they need to and know that their agendas were only their own.

Hell, Iron Man didn't even suit up and do anything until the Airport scene (unless you count him getting his ass handed to him by Bucky for 5 seconds).

Cap had already been in 2 huge fight scenes by that point and taken up a significant amount more screen time.

Still seemed more Iron Man to me.

Suck it up.

I was happy with the amount of god damn sheer respect Cap got in this movie.

No one bested him.

His fight with Iron Man was quite PIS-y, I will admit, but I was happy as **** regardless.

Team Cap all day, everyday.

I'd say It was very much an Iron Man and Captain America movie, given it was furthering Tony's story as much as it did Cap's story.

And with all the guest stars it was clearly a massive Marvel event movie. I personally would have called it "Marvel's Civil War".

But yeah Cap besting Spider-Man and IM reminded me of the film's actual title.

I didn't have a stop-watch or anything, but when I first saw it my definite impression was that Cap had a lot more screen-time than Iron Man.

He had all the best moments too.

It was definitely Cap's movie.

Okay. He had a fraction of the screen time and far less action scenes...and he Didn't beat anyone at all during the entire film. He also came away from the movie looking worse than Cap in pretty much any way you slice it. Tony did have some great moments and he was Vital to the movie. But it was without question Captain America's movie and if you think otherwise you're kinda dumb.

The biggest plot twist in the movie involved Iron Man.

So you guys are implying Ironman fatigue? Got it.

Yes. But the biggest plot twist in TWS involved Alexander Pierce. Doesn't make hm the main character.

When RDJ leaves it will hurt Marvel for sure.

He's one of a kind.

Juggs needs to put some respek on Cap's name.

I ain't gonna say it no mo.
