We've got our first (leaked) pick of Spidey in Civil War! This is apparently his home made suit. He will have a second suit made by Iron Man. With how strictly the MCU has stuck to the comic book suits, it will probably be his Iron Spider suit.

Think they had to quickly fit Spidey into the movie after the Sony partnership. Otherwise they were ready to shoot with a script that had no Spidey.

Meh, a new continuity is fine with me. Garfields universe already screwed up too many villains, and turned Osborn into a head in cryogensis.

Still, they should have just gone the Spectacular Spiderman show route and started him off as an established hero like Mindset said. Now he's going to be some new kid who gets his suit and training handed to him by Iron Man/Cap, which is lame. Hopefully he has his big fallout with Tony, finds the failsafe Tony built into his suit like in the comics, and beats him senseless. At least then he'd be respectable.

I'm not sure that would work as they would have to find a way to make Garfield continuity connect with the MCU.
