Super Saiyan Broly VS Thor

Started by Dramatic Gecko22 pages

Meh, Broly is pretty strong. I see no reason why he couldn't punch Thor and hurt him. But Saiyans, even though they are strong fast and produce attacks on Super Human levels (and sometimes stretch to god like (rarely)) They still can't breath in space, and are effected by fire and lava unless they use a shield. However lightning seems pretty ineffectual as you see Frieza being struck and not giving a flying fook. But all in all, regardless of strength and speed and such Broly looses from needing oxygen. And Thor not needing it.

Plus Broly is a movie villain and therefore doesn't exist! THOR POUNDS HIM LIKE THE WANK STAIN HE IS! HAHAHA!

#Brolyhate

No, we take averages. Unless you just ignore everything but highest feats from respect thread.

Consistent high-end feats do take priority, yes

By vs debating standards, that might as well be "averages"

If we go full autism mode and apply actual averages, we'd be getting only mildly superhuman feats from people who are supposed to destroy planets

This is the reason I sneer at people going "WE TAKE AVERAGES"

Thor doesn't has consistent speed feats. He has consistently struggled to fight moderately fast people. Just this week's Captain America showed that.

So fastttttttttttttt........

I'm not even sure how your trying to use that to lowball Thor? He dodges Mjoinir and then runs away... what did you want Thor to do exactly destroy the planet to get this guy?

At least able to tag the guy once?

😬

I can post like a hundred examples like that where characters comment on how slow Thor is. Thor showcasing fast reflexes is exception, not normal for thor. He is not a speedster and was never shown as such.

Whats up with Cap?

Thor wins. He can redirect any blast or absorb, with Mjolnir, is far stronger than Broly and just would need to get hold of him once to finish it.

What about the disparity in speed which works in Broly's favor?

Other than the fact it doesn't

Broly is MUCH faster than Thor and is strong enough to damage the Odinson with strikes.

Mongoose.

Start there.

What about him?

Or if you want to play that game, I say Beta Ray Bill, who has nigh identical powersets and stats and who, like Thor, fights herald tiers regularly

I'm not in this fight, but I don't see the point people hope to make by saying "(so and so) fights heralds" as an indicator for speed.

Being fast doesn't make you a herald, and being a herald doesn't make you fast. Otherwise, the main cast of Sonic would be inhabited with them (even before Super/Hyper/whatever forms).

I felt the need to weigh in on this because I see it a little too often, and in this case it would be a nigh irrelevant matter. (You know, since this thread involves two heralds. "That must mean they're both fast, right?!"😉 Make of this what you all will.

Well if you believe Beta Ray Bill, Surfer, Gladiator, etc could blitz Thor in a fight despite various FTL feats and despite Thor shown to be fighting on even grounds with them, then sure

So? Hulk fought Thor. Iron Man fought Thor. Wolverine fought Thor. None of them got blitzed, from what I recall. Anyways, I don't care about that. That's not my point.

What I'm addressing is arbitrary "herald speed" term people like to throw around, and that tier reference is a useless method of determination for how fast someone is. Fiction has showcased plenty of Metas who can outspeed heralds. Get me?

ITT: But low ends are valid too

Then there's also jobbing

That and high end showings are generally considered definitive of a character's performance in vs threads

Anime fans should really avoid lowball arguments... just saiyan

Oh but don't you know, comics are inconsistent and vague, while DBZ and anime in general is 100% consistent and clearcut

"ITT?"

Captain America defeats Hulk, Batman kicks Galactus in the face. Whatever. I get it, but aren't those also high-ends? Because it sounds to me like just another excuse for people to think they can decide what applies and what doesn't.

Anyways, none of this addresses the point I actually tried to make. I hope you didn't by some miracle miss it.
