I'm not sure, man. Apparently it's blasphemy that the most powerful jedi in the Old Republic's History, who is perhaps the most overwhelming and skilled lightsaber duelist in the mythos, and has power to rival Darth Sidious's to boot, would defeat Vitiate.

What about that one-shot flash feat he used on the council? Obviously he could use it here to wipe Yoda out in a single flash thus rendering Yoda's light saber abilities useless. You know, that same power that he just decided not to use on Revan after getting ticked off when Revan put him on his ass twice, basically struggling to kill an opponent who only approaches a Dooku level force user? Or that power he decided not to use against the jedi strike team, but instead decided to use 20 seconds worth of his most powerful version of lightning (FLS) allowing Braga and HoT to push through just so he could charge up another attack? It's not like his flash feat against the DC contradict just about all of his onscreen showings, he was just shy to use it on camera or on print. We don't need details of how a group of individuals got killed. All we need to know is that it happened, and that Vitiate can use it whenever he decides despite never showing the ability to use it off top in combat.
We've seen how easy it was for Yoda to destroy four 300 meter long landing vessels with TK, and directly hurl Sidious across his office with enough power to cause Sidious to rethink doing battle with him--the same Sidious who has consistently dominated Revan (the guy Vitiate struggled to kill and failed to handle with TK) level force users with mere gestures (even two at a time). But just for the sake of this thread Vitiate gets his no name flash feat that we know little to nothing about or how it was achieved.
Really, Sinious, if Vitiate is that powerful, what difference does it make if Yoda is good at sabers?
