You're jumping the gun, to be fair. It isn't the gender that's the problem; it's Marvel's insistence on pushing Carol Danvers as their Wonder Woman, which in the comics has been a trainwreck at best. People are naturally worried about that carrying over to the movies, though I honestly don't think there's too much of a danger.
Feige's comments about her being oh-so powerful would get zero to little pushback if he was talking about Wanda, for example.
Fair enough then on the comic-to-film scare/concern, it just seemed like more of the nonsense we had in the past like with Star Wars and its female characters/castings.
But I'm not worried at all. So far the MCU's casting/writing has varied from good to great. Downey as Tony. Evans as Steve. Hemsworth as Thor. Holland as Peter, who is by far the best of the three to play the character to date. The list goes on. I don't think they're going to wreck it now just to push some imaginary "SJW" or feminist agenda that's supposed to exist here.
When something's given you win after win in terms of casting and writing, I'm not going to assume the worse before we know next to nothing.

I love Wanda in IW and bringing in more female characters has only improved the MCU. That being said the trainwreck that is Carl Manvers in the comics is pure garbage. Her books sell like crap because people are tired of the SJW Marvel movement. It's the way she acts and the things she says. People don't like being preached to. Like what you're trying to do with your sjw virtue signaling.

All you really did is yell "SJW!!!" and the like a bunch of times.

robtard, do you seriously think the SJW agenda is "imaginary"?

and while this is Star Wars it is Disney. I HOPE that the MCU doesn't go the route of SW, but we'll see.

A picture of four women with tee-shirts is your proof? I admit, I laughed.

Yes, and???
Imagine a world where the lead of a franchise can go from being a man to a woman at a turning point and it's just because the writing worked and there wasn't some 'SJW-Feminist' agenda to put men down. Imagine.
Originally posted by RobtardI have no problem with the fact she's a woman. Why is the force female? The force is the ****ING FORCE. Femenist agendas are clear in SW now and to deny it makes you look more foolish than your virtue signalling.

Your anger here is very amusing. It's just a tee-shirt though, she was prolly just having fun with her family/friends.
Not really, that's just your (emotional) micro-penis causing you to think that because *gasp* Rey's a strong female lead and she can beat up boys. You'd enjoy the films if you just sat back and didn't see "SJW!" and "Der Feminist!" in everything.
Originally posted by Darth ThorThere's no indication that was done just because Rey was cast/written as a women though. Is there?
Problem with Rey isnt her being female. Its her spitting on the previous Jedi lore of having to actually train and progress as a character before defeating all powerful opponents.
A man could just as easily been cast and the same could have been done; would it have garnered the same level of hate or would people have accepted it as 'this character must be very powerful to have that much raw ability'?
Originally posted by Darth ThorNo Thor, it's clearly because we're male misogynists. Meh, I'm done arguing with Rob"really is a tard" . He doesn't listen to legit criticisms but only virtue signals because that's the only way he can defend his point. Anyway, THE MCU has been so much better than Star Wars in that regard it's not even close. Hopefully it stays that way.
