"Points"? What points? Where you desperately try to ignore a direct statement from Surfer describing the amp and insert your own interpretations on events?

This is ironic, and extremely hypocritical of you.

I've provided countless statements and on-panel scans, and you've dismissed them. Yet you cling to one statement from Surfer as the basis of your entire argument.

This nobel winner right here...........

Big words from someone who just admitted he doesn't think. Oh, I'm sorry, am I taking your words too literally?

What kind of power do you test by matching strength? And it was a test, not one where Loki measured Surfer's power to be equal of his own.

You realize power includes strength in it? As well as other abilities.

In the scans Loki states he's testing Surfer's power. When Loki is shocked Surfer can match his "godly force" Surfer even replies "my power is that of the endless cosmos"

Are you going to ignore this too? Power was referred to multiple times in the fight.

So?

I gave you a direct quote from Loki saying Surfer matched his power, and you dismiss it yet again.

Then you probably haven't read much comics. Although I don't know "test" of power means you match other in a strength lock.

- There were large energy blasts going back and forth
- Loki states it's a test of power on panel.
- Surfer states he's using his cosmic power on panel.
- There is huge amounts of energy and lightning surrounding them.
- Power includes strength, as well as energy and other abilities.

It's obvious to everyone this is a test of power; not purely strength.

Again it's funny how your argument clings onto one statement from Surfer, yet you dismiss the dozens of other statements that go against your argument. How hypocritical of you.

Circular reasoning FTW. C'mon you can do worse than this.

That wasn't circular reasoning, that was a question. This is just another example of you avoiding a question.

Stop avoiding it, and answer my question:

Why would Loki (who's not known for his strength) test Surfer (who's not known for his strength) in a strength contest?

Can you answer this question? Or are you afraid to?

Now who is starting shit talking?

Here you go yet again dismissing on-panel statements. I provide a scan of Loki stating Surfer matched Loki's power and you ignore it.

Yeah, Loki used "my force" when he punched Surfer too. Force=strength if you don't know and when you match someone in strength.

Yeah...and they were also zapping each other too, and had huge amounts of energy and lightning swirling around them... You're telling me this was pure strength?

Loki also stated he was testing Surfer's power, and Surfer stated he was using his cosmic power during the test...

In fact, when Loki was looking for a champion to fight Thor, he stumbles upon Surfer and commented on his power.

Who said I am ignoring that surfer was weakened? I am just laughing at your strawman argument that Surfer was exactly at full power and you're flat out ignoring surfer's own statement.

I said Surfer was extremely weakened when he got Loki's amp, and that they offset each other to a certain extent.

You on the other hand, think Loki's amp literally made Surfer the most powerful he's ever been in his entire career up until that point.

Keep repeating those. Maybe someone would believe you.

I don't have to convince anyone. You're doing a good enough job yourself. All people have to do is watch you to know how you "operate"

Like flat out ignoring "I'm more powerful than ever" from surfer himself?
How am I ignoring it?

My take on that statement is: Loki gave Surfer an amp, and Surfer feels much more powerful than before.
So much e-rage. Why don't we use a mod ruling on this? And stop stirring shit. I'm not going to fall in that trap. Untill that time? Surfer's statement alone shits on your whole argument.

Sure, let's get two mod rulings actually.

First what does this sentence mean:

"Never before have I felt so powerful -- so strangely invincible. It is as if it has been decreed I cannot fail"

My take: Loki gave Surfer an amp, and Surfer feels much more powerful, and confident he can beat Thor.

Your take: Loki gave Surfer an amp, and Surfer was literally the most powerful he's ever been in his entire career up until that point.

Which sounds more reasonable based off of an off-hand statement in the middle of battle?

The second mod ruling should be whether or not Surfer was depowered during that era and by how much? I can provide all the references to his depowerment.

Hypocritical? You're taking one of surfer's statements about his weakness at face value but discarding the one with his amp. That's what is defined as hypocritical. But it suits you.

I've provided countless statements and on-panel scans, and you've dismissed them. Yet you cling to one statement from Surfer as the basis of your entire argument.
Let me get this, you've provided countless statements of what exactly? I can flood this thread with random scans too, but it means less than anything. You've just skirted around the main point, where was the statement that surfer was just as powerful as before? Like you're claiming with such conviction?

Big words from someone who just admitted he doesn't think. Oh, I'm sorry, am I taking your words too literally?
Sarcasm isn't really your forte, is it?

You realize power includes strength in it? As well as other abilities.
It does, but strength=/=power.

In the scans Loki states he's testing Surfer's power. When Loki is shocked Surfer can match his "godly force" Surfer even replies "my power is that of the endless cosmos"
Now you're taking surfer's statement literally. But not the one where he states how large the amp is. I wonder why?

I gave you a direct quote from Loki saying Surfer matched his power, and you dismiss it yet again.

I gave you a scan saying that surfer was more powerful than ever and you're dismissing it for pages.

- There were large energy blasts going back and forth
- Loki states it's a test of power on panel.
- Surfer states he's using his cosmic power on panel.
- There is huge amounts of energy and lightning surrounding them.
- Power includes strength, as well as energy and other abilities.
And it was mainly a strength lock. I don't know why you're doing this though. It serves little in this argument.

It's obvious to everyone this is a test of power; not purely strength.

Again it's funny how your argument clings onto one statement from Surfer, yet you dismiss the dozens of other statements that go against your argument. How hypocritical of you.

You've successfully moved the goal posts, congrats. Its funny how your whole argument is hanging by a statement surfer made yet a statement from surfer describing his amp is utterly dismissed by you.

That wasn't circular reasoning, that was a question. This is just another example of you avoiding a question.
It wasn't? It certainly looked like one. Oh right, you're incapable of seeing one in your own argument.

Stop avoiding it, and answer my question:

Why would Loki (who's not known for his strength) test Surfer (who's not known for his strength) in a strength contest?

Can you answer this question? Or are you afraid to?

First answer my question, why are you taking one of surfer's statement about his weakness at face value but discarding his other statement about his amp? That's what turned this entirely clear scene into you arguing several pages with random scans.

Here you go yet again dismissing on-panel statements. I provide a scan of Loki stating Surfer matched Loki's power and you ignore it.
In a test. Lack of context from your side, usual.

Yeah...and they were also zapping each other too, and had huge amounts of energy and lightning swirling around them... You're telling me this was pure strength?

Loki also stated he was testing Surfer's power, and Surfer stated he was using his cosmic power during the test...

And? Is there a point to all these random scans?

I said Surfer was extremely weakened when he got Loki's amp, and that they offset each other to a certain extent.
Without any proof. It was outright stated that surfer was more powerful than ever. By surfer himself.

You on the other hand, think Loki's amp literally made Surfer the most powerful he's ever been in his entire career up until that point.
That's what surfer said, not me. Don't blame it on me, blame stan lee.

I don't have to convince anyone. You're doing a good enough job yourself. All people have to do is watch you to know how you "operate"
By using direct statements of the amp? Yes, I do go by what is on panel and not make theories about it.

Ok, lets see what goes with that.

The second mod ruling should be whether or not Surfer was depowered during that era and by how much? I can provide all the references to his depowerment.
Surfer was depowered in SS v1. Who disputes that?

I think Majestic should be added to these contenders for top herald, although by the end of his run he became skyfather.
by the end of his run, he was left broken, and helpless.

Pound for Pound. Who is the #1 in the Herald Class division?

Is it Superman, Thor, Silver Surfer, Flash? etc...

Go!

Between Superman and Surfer as the are the fastest. I'll say Surfer hands down. Superman is a close second.

Surfer

Being more powerful could mean 1-5% more powerful which could be significant or not. That's if we take Surfer at his word. Anyway you guys are arguing a moot point since we are debating forum characters instead. Surfer can literally do many things to Thor while having great defenses to anything Thor could do. Surfer is definitely the most powerful high Herald in a forum (not always in a comic though).

And Vince I'm not a lunatic lol. I'm very reasonable if you make a good case. You are a good debater I admit and would love to debate you sometimes.

Thor and Silver Surfer would be above Superman, more versatile in powers and abilities, these Thgor/SS are the total package.

Not if they are too idiotic to use those powers. Iron man is more versatile than hulk. Doesn't mean he is more powerful.
