Suicide Squad went from a B+ to an A- on Cinemascore, what ever that is but I think it's good.
They are predicting a 51-54 million second weekend. We'll see.
Also set a record for a Monday in August.

Cool. Supposedly it did gangbusters in Brazil, too. Hopefully it gets around 400 M WW.
Brazil was the second biggest OS debut for Suicide Squad
Despite the distraction of the Olympics, Brazil raked in $11.75M on 1,406 screens (including sneaks) to exceed Deadpool by 44%. This is the market’s biggest August opening weekend of all time, the biggest Will Smith opening, the 2nd biggest WB film ever, and the biggest opening for a superhero film.

Forgot to give my review of this.
It was ok. Not awful but not good either. Pretty fun sometimes but I can see why people would say its a bad movie. 5.5/10
Deadshot was cool but it was Will Smith as a marksman more than deadshot.
Harley was ok but again not so much like comics or cartoon Harley.
Joker seemed more like a quirky gangster than The Joker. Since when is Joker blindly in love and letting that dictate his actions?
The music used badly.
The way the music would suddenly start for each character like a music video was cringe worthy.
The plot wasnt great.
Character interactions were good. I liked that more than anything
Best movie in the DCU so far.
sidenotes:
Why isnt Joker dead? Batman has no problems killing random fodder but Joker is alive after killing Robin?
They kept saying "Meta Humans" but there was two I would call meta humans in the team. That mission was too much for them. We see Flash apprehend Boomerang in full costume. This is even before Bruce gets a chance to recruit him. Doesnt make sense.
Then you have a wold wide threat and we dont see Batman, Wonder Woman or Flash (apparently he is already stopping crime). So the last hope is these regular criminals? Even though Waller has records on Aquaman, Flash, Cyborg, and knows Batman? She decides to go for this plan?
Have more thought buts thats a quick review.

🙁 come on, Inhuman. That's just retarded.
Yes very retarded.
Lets see.
Waller has files on real meta-humans and knows how to contact Bruce Wayne who she knows is Batman as well.
There is a global threat of supernatural proportions.
I know ill get a group of nobodies that im forcing to work for me. So they will not be fully into this mission and will be always thinking about escaping. All of which one of them could actually be effective against the threat(s). And this is ignoring the fact that no one knew about Diablo transforming into that fire creature.
Yes we will have a dude that fights with knives and boomerangs , a girl with mental problems that fights with a bat, a dude that punches people and ties knots, a chick with a sword , and a guy that shoots guns well Vs. a global supernatural threat(s).
Real smart plan I have here.
Too bad I cant get REAL super powered people to help in this global threat.

lol good points, thats why i thought they should've kept the "problem" to a more street level.
The biggest flaw IMO was that the Squad was never given any screen presence to stand out on their own.
I mean, why bother having the military accompany them if they're on a suicide mission ?
So there's a metahuman threat...
Great idea...let's send a crazy chick into battle against a meta whose weapon of choice is a baseball bat.
Some guy with "the ability to climb things" & another dude who calls himself, Captain Boomerang.
Someone should've explained to Capt. Boomerang that his weapon is designed to return every time he throws it...not 1 outta 3 throws.
A better plot would've been that the squad was put together to try & capture an escaped Joker.
Harley would've been both the bait & wildcard whilst the rest of the squad members would've had some sort of personal gripe against the Joker as motivation.
Hell, that could've been Bats suggestion to Waller as he was too busy getting the League together.

Because those group of nobodies are easy to use. You can't expect her to get the Justice League. That's doesn't make sense.

^Basically.
They already had the framework for that version of this movie with Batman: Assault on Arkham. It would have just needed a little treatment and re-imagining by a skilled writer and director. Hell, it would have been right up Ayers alley given he was the director of Training Day, Fury, and End of Watch.

Nobody would miss life sentence convicts. It makes perfect sense.
It makes more sense to get actual people that have a chance to stop a supernatural Global threats then too regular bumbling criminals with mental disabilities that fight with knives and bats
Yeah let's leave the world safety into it team we're not even sure will even follow orders or have even worked together in the past before
