Oh lord, the plot thickens. They'll need to release an extended cut (or at least an ass-load of deleted scenes) or else there's going to be mass outrage toward Warner. I think as long as they release an extended version on blu-ray then I'm sure they won't have as much trouble with a lawsuit, because films often include footage in the trailer that doesn't make the theatrical cut. That's nothing new (then again, I don't know how extensive the cut Joker scenes are). And it's very common now for films to get extended home video releases. But it is pretty shifty of the studio to tease the most iconic character so much and then not deliver in the final cut. I've heard from several reviewers that the Joker's barely in the movie. That's just going to alienate fans and cause disappointment, which is obviously not in the studio's best interest.
