Only in dc for this kind of crisis do you say lets get a crazy girl with a bat.

😂

Suicide Squad went from a B+ to an A- on Cinemascore, what ever that is but I think it's good.

They are predicting a 51-54 million second weekend. We'll see.

Also set a record for a Monday in August.

if true, that is over a 60 % drop which is bad...

Yeah let's leave the world safety into it team we're not even sure will even follow orders or have even worked together in the past before

That's what the SS has always been about. Would be boring of they did what you wanted.

Makes Amanda Waller look like an idiot tbh.

I admit, in real life it does sound stupid. Hell, even the military /government didn't support waller's plans. But you can nitpick any movie like that.

That's also the beauty of it all. Seeing how waller manipulates the team

Waller was weak

I have to agree with Inhuman. Enchantress was a threat best suited for any JL member not named Batman, which is why they should've given the Suicide Squad a compatible antagonist.

Hell at least she wasn't shoving people into torpedoes to "save" them.

LOL
Nuthin' crazy about that scenario!

Just came from watching it. My inner Jeffrey 'The Dude' Lebowski kept hollering inside my mind, throughout the screening: YOU ****ED IT UP!! YOU ****ED IT UP!!

I don't think I've seen a movie murdered in the editing room like this since...oh, Green Lantern in 2011. (I've avoided seeing last year's Fantastic Four thus far.)

Slapdash as hell at 100 minutes. But then, Batman v. Superman was 2 1/2 hours and still couldn't totally pull it together. But it was still better than this. Nothing is worse than a mangled narrative.

Those scenes that looked quirky and funny in the trailers just sat there like turds in the feature. It's just like what Grace Randolph said - it's like they made a feature length trailer for Suicide Squad, rather than a real movie.

After this huge opening weekend, I predict it drops like a stone.

I had no issues with the editing like I had with MOS/BVS. I thought they did a fine job.

John Ostrander's review of the movie & Says Critics 'Came Prepared to Hate It'

I respect his work and his opinion. But it's one thing to say online trolls come prepared to hate something that doesn't fit their preconceived notions (Female Ghostbusters, Black Deadshot etc.) and to say critics do the same thing. It's the old conspiracy, that the critics are biased towards Marvel and are against DC. If critics are indeed tired of tentpole franchises, why did they shower Captain America: Civil War with praise?

Because it's an awesome movie, that's why.

Suicide Squad is an awesome misfire, by comparison. That's why the bad reviews. Simple as that.

Maybe John Ostrander is just giddy, seeing his name all over the main building in the climax.

If John liked it, that's all that matters. 😖hifty: SS was seriously a fun movie.

So why did RT give Spider-Man 3 a score of 60%+. That's a score BvS and SS would die for. You really think Spider-Man 3 was a better film that BvS or SS? I can bring up other examples as well.

So It's not a conspiracy theory, or even a MCU vs DCEU thing. But there's clearly a bias there towards franchises critics have already decided they like, and ones which haven't won them over yet. You can argue it's the DCEU's own fault for not winning over critics for their franchise, but critics are supposed to be bias free and go into each film giving it an equal chance.

And I don't believe critics are going into each film completely objective, and I do believe SS would have a much higher score on RT if the exact same film was made by Marvel studios.

Oh for cripes sake. There is no conspiracy theory. All DC needs to do is offer a good movie and then it would be graded as such.

^ So Spider-Man 3 was good right?

Are people still crying about a vast Marvel conspiracy?

Says the guy who fully supports RT scores when it comes to Marvel and DC, but conveniently ignores them when it comes to Ghostbusters 😂

FYI You still owe firefly money

I didn't ignore the Rotten Tomatoes score when it came to Ghostbusters, in fact I looked at all three of their scores and according to all three of those scores the movie was not that good it was at best mediocre and at worst crap.

Yeah, well Frank Herbert was also a fan of David Lynch's adaption of his book Dune in 1984 (still considered one of cinema's biggest turkeys, and completely disowned by Lynch.) His recommendation, plus $10, gets you coffee at Starbucks. That's what it's worth.
