Comparing the theatre to TV is obvious. Even if I havent seen the original release, I know when the TV cuts out scenes of **** and gore and just general long takes shortened among other things.
DVD extended cuts make no sense to me. Deleted scenes always show up in extras and its not as if theres any hindrance for time in the theatre.
An easter egg inserted in, maybe, but you buy the DVD for the cinematic experience, not some extended version. It only makes going to the cinema more valuable, which might be the intention.
Having deleted scenes, commentary by the director, bloopers, etc are the norm when a blueray is relesed. But the way its advertised is that the "insert movie" blueray will come out in so and so date.
The way the DCU has been doing things is not like this. They advertise "extended cuts", "Directors cuts", "extra footage", etc as the head line. It isnt just advertised as a normal blueray release with standard extras.
Just like Suicide Squad was heavily advertised to be a Batman, Joker, Harley movie.
They know what they are doing and has become an on going gimmick to sell bluerays with WB/DC.
With the idea of "If you didnt like the theatrical cut, then youll like this version". When they turn out to be only very slight improved to the theatrical version. Not enough to make sup par movies good.

WB/DC should put all their efforts into making quality well made movies instead of marketing gimmicks and false advertising, and quick money schemes. TBH 😬
Nobody cares what you think, dude. SS made a ton of profit, and that's because a lot of people enjoyed it. Go cry somewhere else, dude.
Still think this sums it up best, far as like the Joker, though I did like the movie otherwise.
