The tattoos were distracting and really really abrasive when that still photo was released. I was concerned as a fan because I had faith the movie was a good idea and was going to be really cool. Friends of mine and the internet in general kinda lost their shit over it.
Fans tend to gut-react when the image of a character is altered. Which makes sense considering we grew up with these characters and stuff.
But from the teaser trailer released and the word of mouth about Leto's performance sounds really wild. His quick scene in the trailer was scary and he looks like a ****ing psycho. So I'm excited to see what he's like in the finished product. I can look passed the tattoos. At this point, who cares? I think he'll be rad and the movie will be rad.

Ever since the first group picture dropped I got the feeling that Katana may steal the show ala Faora, and this trailer only made me more optimistic in that regard. I also don't think she is a regular Waller-controlled member of the Squad, perhaps back up or an independent outfit with the same goals. She is normally a heroine so I think that may be the case.
