according to Suicide Squad producer Andy Horwitz, who infers that the true identity of Eastwood's character is a mystery. "No one has guessed right," Horwitz told ComicBook. "I've seen some of the guesses [online] and no one has guessed right
That should be fun. [/B]
Warner Bros. Found Guilty Of Paying For Positive Game Reviews
I get flashbacks of Golg's posting all those links of WB execs high five-ing each other, clapping and cheering as proof that unreleased movies will be great.

Reminds me back in the day with Driver 3, Game got 9 or 10's when really its about a 5.
Currently, Suicide Squad is on a runway with its promo campaign as we head toward the pic’s Aug. 5 opening date. A new set of photos and a detailed synopsis triggered Suicide Squad to top PreAct’s chart, bypassing the conversation of such upcoming July titles as Star Trek Beyond and Ghostbusters. Suicide Squad hits the tracking boards this Thursday, and an excitement prevails about non-Warner Bros. executives. They truly anticipate Suicide Squad to be a big opener in the spirit of Disney/Marvel’s The Guardians of the Galaxy ($94.3M); the last big huzzah of summer.

Personally don't give a rat's ass about box office predictions. I just really want this to be a good DC film. Even if this manages to scrape some money, like BvS did, if it's shit, I'm writing off this universe. If you can't hit the mark even once out of three films, then you should take a very hard look at your company. That being said, I remain hopeful. I haven't seen anything that has really had a negative impact on my expectations for this.

I completely agree with you. The only problem is film is subjective, so how does the studio know for sure the film is bad?
Like loads of people really like MOS, but then it also has a bad reputation among many fans and critics.
They'll only know For Sure that the movie is Good(or well recieved) if it performs on every level- I.e. High score from critics, fans and box office. Much like The Force Awakens. Even though me and some other Star Wars fans were disappointed by it, they will largely ignore that given all the main indicators (including box office) have told them the film was a Mega Mega Win.
Similarly they only For Sure that the movie is Bad(or poorly received) if it underperforms on every level- I.e. Low score from critics, fans and poor box office. Much like the last Terminator movie. And even though some people liked that film, they'll largely ignore them.

Well, I mainly made the comment because some people on these boards seem more obsessed with how much a film might make, as opposed to whether the film is actually enjoyable to watch. And there are also bucket loads of films that are critically acclaimed, but are boring as hell, and a chore to sit through.
And in terms of it being good, and you mentioning MoS, that's what I mean. I mean I liked MoS myself, but I know that the movie has a ton of flaws in it, which prevents it from really standing out. What I mean is I am hoping for something that isn't just passable, but truly memorable, like some of the better efforts Marvel have made, like IM1, TWS, GotG.
And I mention those 3 specifically because IM1 was the pioneer, so didn't have goodwill to fall back on. TWS was also exceptional, after many people found TFA to be a bit underwhelming. GotG, again, was new territory (doing the whole space thing, with characters totally unrelated to the rest of the franchise). Yet they weren't just passable efforts. They're among the MCU's best.
And I truly believe that this film could be something like that, if handled and executed correctly. At least that's what I am hoping for. I have a good feeling about this film, which I did not have before BvS. But only time will tell whether those feelings are misplaced or not.
^ I totally agree. The most important thing for this film to do is to create some love for the DCEU. It's box office is kind of irrelevant next to that. The goodwill of a loved movie will aid their box office miles more in the long term, just like it's done for Marvel.
That said, it's kind of sad that Suicide Squad has that kind of burden on it.

Season 4 didn't start off too badly, but it steadily declined from there, with only a handful of genuinely decent episodes. A lot of angsty BS, drama and crap throughout the season, and the finale was a cheap knock off of TDKR, with a bit of magic thrown in. As shaky as Legends of Tomorrow was in places during its first season, it still ended up being better than season 4 of Arrow IMO.
Edit: Also, loads of PIS in season 4, especially where the fights were concerned. One week Oliver will stomp Malcolm and make him look like a fool. The following week Oliver and Thea combined will get temporarily stalemated by that crazy Cupid b**** from the CW Suicide Squad.

season 3 and 4 were horrible but that's putting it mildly... the thing is though Arrow is like so many other long running tv shows in which a season here and there are good out of the possible 5, 10 or 15 years on the air . I am hopeful that season 5 gets them back on back
