Bardock did warn the other saiyans that Frieza was coming though.. Not his fault they were elitist idiots who wouldn't listen to him because he was a lower class saiyan. And why not go out in a bang against Frieza? He knew he was gonna die either way with nothing he or anyone could do about it.

His character was pretty likable, yeah. Judging him as a whole on power level is kinda weak.

So then warn lower class guys that would listen. Flee the planet and grow in number and strength away from Frieza's eye. So many other things he could have done instead of dying like a foolish fool that's foolish.

And he only tried to warn people after he got his butt kicked iirc. He didn't try to warn people whan it would really help. Just 12mins before Frieza stopped by

It could be said that he thought he didn't have enough time. I mean, Frieza was gonna blow up the planet, that day, whether Bardock tried to stop him or not.

He know for a while in advance. He just kept it to himself. Selfish monkey!

He was stuck on Planet Meat, trying to get revenge on the people that killed his crew, sent there as a mission from Frieza.

Also, he was attacked by Dodoria. (Who, by this point, could've easily killed any Saiyan)

And before he went to Meat?

Bardock killed Dodoria's men. He couldn't let that disrespect go unpunished

When does he say that it was Disrespect?

Does he have to? Does it strike you as respectful?

No, but how did he even imply that he thought it was just "disrespectful" and that he didn't care about his crew.

Oh you mean in regards to what I said on the last page?

Yes, just as well, Akira Toriyama was personally interviewed about Bardock and said he and Gine had a special emotional attachment to each other, and that he wasn't as cold-blooded as most saiyans.

Interview.

That was only toward the canon version of Bardock from the story Akira created.

http://dragonball.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon_Ball_Minus

But we are discussing the non canon Bardock here. The one from "Father of Goku" and "Episode of Bardock". That Bardock was an ass

Yup

None of that reflects Bardock from the anime. Akira liked the anime so much that he decided to make Bardock canon with a completely different story, one Akira created himself. The Bardock we are discussing is the original, non canon one. The one being talked about in the interview is the newer one with a different story

...I know about Jaco, but wtf is Dragon Ball Minus?

That's the new, canon Bardock story. I would have preferred the original but Akira wanted to write his own bullshit story

Yeah, I just read the overview, its ok to make Bardock caring, but in this, he's kind of a pansy.

😂

What is all the talk of Bardock? Is he in a new movie?

I'd rather have a heartless bad-ass then a pansy, any day.
