It started off with the possibility of him being in the movie, then got into a debate about why he is a good character and person.

God no, he isn't even SSJ Goku level. Goku stays base and evenly matches every one of Frieza's forms EXCEPT Golden Frieza.

We will see son enough. He certainly seems to be more powerful than SSG Goku.

LOL! No, he isn't. He has shown absolutely nothing in the trailers to put even remotely close to that level. Goku fought him at base level, and SSJ STILL gives him a multiplier. Even with his god ki.

No way shape or form is he stronger then SSG Goku. Maybe in base form he is stronger, or maybe Goku is doing what he does best and dicking around till he reveals his latest bag of tricks which happens 99% of the time.

Base Goku is equal to SSG Goku as mentioned in BoG. Plus the trailer implies Freiza kicks Goku's ass and Vegeta has to bail him out.

No it doesn't. He actually does better against Beerus's energy ball in base form than he did in SSJ.

Then how is there tension in this film sir? If he were that weak then Gohan could simply dismiss him with a punch.

No he was not in base form when he got rid of Beerus planet buster, he was in God mode. Not base form.

Never said he was in base form when he got rid of it.

while I guess it was neat seeing the mom, I much prefered the anime version of events. He could have easily adopted that story, and simply shown the mom in some silly one off about Bardocks family life if he wanted to introduce her in his Jaco manga.

It didn't seem that Super Saiyan Goku was any stronger than Base Goku after the God Power up. Goku seemed to just turn into a supersaiyan when he was angry. While he fought better due to his rage there was no significant change in power.

Until Akira Toriyama officially takes away multipliers from SSJ, that point is moot.

If the mulitplier were still intact, Goku would shit on Beerus. He was able to match 70% with SSJ1. With SSJ2, which doubles his power, hewould wipe the floor with Beerus easily

But he didn't turn SSJ2, did he?
