I could see Vegeta with the blue hair but Goku should keep the red.
Not sure of the beef with the ending though. Freeza gets a do-over so why not let Goku have one too? If the spoilers are to be believed then Freeza hasn't been playing fair the entire time since Sorbet is helping. Goku, Freeza, and Vegeta all come out looking pretty strong and all the players on Earth get fodder to mow down. Even Roshi who hasn't had anything to do in decades.
In Dragonball the good guys cheat way more often than one might think and that is what makes them pretty cool. Fighting for your own personal honor or glory when the fate of the world is in the balance is not often treated as a good thing(though there are exceptions in the Piccolo fights of Dragonball).
The only real thing at question here is how Goku got Whis to allow him to get a do over.

It's posted on their form which the spoilers they got were form people who type japanese which is why they use google translate (Which comes up a incorrect english translation IIRC) and comes up the stupid spoilers.
But Kanzenshuu said they are typing the official summary of the movie right now. So we have to wait till they post it on there main website.

Also, the blue colour of hair probably stands for a mastered Ssj God transformation, so it seems now that they fully have absorbed the power, when going Ssj, they'll have this kind of hair.

Edit: Really my biggest gripe is the blue hair. Gold and red would make the hair orange. Blue is just kinda out of left field, though I am also one of the few that liked SSJ God mode anyway. Blue works for Vegeta but I liked the softer look for Goku(it also goes with what Whis says but that is another story).

Actually makes sense when you consider what Freeza says earlier. When the Z-Fighters aren't expecting it then they can be hurt by things they don't see coming.
Remember, Gohan was killed by the weaker Kid Buu's attacks. Cell got stopped by Tien's attacks which really should not have registered as a blip to him. And even Beerus got hurt by Vegeta when the dude outta nowhere goes HAM on him.
