CW was far superior to AoU and should have brought in more dollars, considering the hero rosters were close. Yet it didn't.

But CW did bring in more money than AOU. A better example would be IM3 and CW. The latter was loved by critics and audiences, but despite more heroes, more hype and a lot more still failed to surpass the total.

^ Nah AOU is the 2nd highest grossing MCU film after Avengers1.

The roster is important but so is the title, and the title of Civil War was "Captain America" and not "Avengers."

As for IM3, that came right after Avengers so was running of that hype, and starring the most popular Avenger.

Even a Hawkeye solo film would probably have done well off the back of Avengers 1. And I am not trying to hate on Clint. I like the character a lot, but he is hardly a big draw for most MCU fans.

^ I actually like Clint a lot more now since AOU and Civil War.

Finally a actor that is believable as a high school student.

Also it appears The Vulture will be a unsympathetic super villain which is terrific. Most of the super villains in spider man movies have been sympathetic even ones that are not supposed to be sympathetic.
It will be terrific to see a outright unsympathetic villain in a spider man movie.

No doubt like most villains he will have some reason why he believes he's the good guy using good methods to accomplish his goals but doesn't change he's still likely a unsympathetic deadbeat.

Just saw the new trailer and I'm not sure how I feel about the more robotic suit than the previous incarnations shown in the movies.

Despite that they made similar money. Civil War wasn't that far behind which is impressive since it was a Cap movie.

Still, name does matter. AoU was significantly worse than CW but got by on name and the hype of Avengers 1.

Please stop supporting infinite reboots of Spider-man.

It encourages the studios.

No, please support the Marvel/Sony deal so Spidey stays home forever.

800 M domestic, here we come. ✅

As long as we don't have to sit thru another ORIGIN story I will be happy to go see this.

can't wait to see this...

Some of the high school humor might make some of the dialogue irritating, but other than that it looks good

Pretty much how I feel about the whole thing...

Yes it does get boring just being entertained over and over 😬

They should just make it a law that if the movie is crap you should be able to get back the % of the ticket that goes to the Studio but let the Theater keep its bit. Then maybe the studios will stop making so much crap.

Eh I can dream can't I?

Yuck. That trailer was pretty terrible and killed most of my hype. The second(?) one was so much better

Not watching it the trailer....not because i'm not interested in the movie itself

i've seen enough already.
