Still not sure I'm following... What about her character makes you tick, for lack of better word?
I'm just glad Kendra and the like are gone (much as I hate that it came down to having distaste for a version of Hawkgirl), though still miss Snart, and the time historian guy (who I assume is just a temporary replacement for Rip) is boring.

I thought she was bad in Arrow. A bad Canary, badly written, and just badly acted in general.
I don't think there's anything redeemable about her atall.
Snart is a loss though, yeah.

I think she's at least a decent step up from the Laurel we got (though that's not saying much), but I can understand that too; fair enough. Not always a fan of her acting either, but usually find her badass enough to make up for it.
I can't stand either of them tbh. I think Arrow has really missed the mark with people like Canary and Huntress. Personal preference though obviously.
Well, guess we can look forward to Ray being emo on the next episode. Nate getting abilities at least makes him more interesting, though he isn't quite what I imagine when I think of the character "Steel". That being said, it is STILL better than this crap from the 90s:
I personally felt that they pretty much just recycled Girder, from the Flash. Their powerset is literally identical. At least based on what we have been shown so far.
Random note, DC is kinda lazy when it comes to naming people. Citizen Steel, Steel, then Steel again, and then the unrelated Steel (John Henry Irons version). But then those are mild compared to this DC gem:
