Legends of Tomorrow

Not based on the crossover. At one point, he was doing okay against Thea, Sara and Diggle, at the same time. Also, Oliver himself completely embarrassed Malcolm during their s4 duel. It took him like almost not time to beat him.

Seriously, Malcolm is just pathetic nowadays.

Based on the crossover, Sara was seriously challenging Ollie 1 vs 1.

She landed a few hits (and he also landed hits of his own), but she never had him in any serious danger. And challenging is a long way from "kicking his ass", like you were claiming. And this is despite the fact that she was actually bloodlusted and mind-controlled, and he wasn't.

Yeah, Malcolm's performances have been embarrassing. We need a villain who is actually a challenge. He was awesome in Arrow s1.

Well, I did kind of expect him to lose. I don't think Sara is quite Ollie's equal, but I would definitely put her second overall in combat skill. Though not sure where Mick slots in. He and Sara once fought without a clear winner (when he betrayed them in s1), but he's had Time Master training since then, while she had a 2nd bout with the LoS, so who knows how they compare now.

Oh I expected him to lose too, given his trajectory.
But Good Storytelling 101: your villain has to be the one with the advantage. He either needs to be stronger, smarter, or more powerful.

Not seeing any of that from Malcolm anymore.

Well, Sara summed it up perfectly. He is little more than an errand boy nowadays. He was Darhk's b!tch on Arrow. Now, he is both Darhk and Thawne's b!tch on LoT.

On an unrelated note, and somewhat surprisingly, I am actually enjoying the Ray/Nate friendship/rivalry going on. Also, the Vixen/Heat Wave thing was very predictable.

No doubt, but that's a shame.

Well, Malcolm did claim he was slowing down way back in S1 Arrow.

I think he's no worse, but he peaked long ago, while everyone else just keeps improving.

Big waste of a Sara/Merlyn showdown given their history, but that ship sailed as soon as she proved good enough to kill Savage. Merlyn simply isn't in thar class..

Ray/Nate is one of the best parts of the show.

Is Mick really seeing Snart's ghost, I wonder?

Yeah, guess this is true. Besides, Merlyn can't be that far from pushing 50 at this point. Most of the others are 15-20 years younger than he is.

Really hard to say at this point. I would have said there might be more to it, but given the BS we got with Deadshot, on Arrow, I would not be surprised. I'm still pissed about that copout.

Savage lost to everyone on LOT, beating him hardly counts for anything

Which is a pity, considering how badass they made him during the Arrow/Flash crossover (one of the first things he does, when we see him for the first time, is dodge a near-pointblank gunshot). Which is another thing that annoyed me about season 1 of LoT. We see that Savage has an uber staff, that only he can use (barring very specific tech gauntlets), and can literally wipe out cities, and he damn well knows it exists, yet never once makes an attempt to get it during his entire time on that show. But of course, if he had it, he would have killed the entire Legends roster in the first episode. Talk about PIS.

Yep... And whatever happened to the supposed Thanagarian invasion that Savage was chosen to protect the earth from? Guess they decided to hold that off for the washed up villain trio.

Didn't really get what the ending with Rip Hunter directing a movie of himself was supposed to imply either. Was that what he ditched his team for or is there something more to it?

That's not actually an issue, IMO. Remember, the invasion is only after Savage had come to power, which would still have been like a 150 years down the line.

He'll probably have amnesia, or some such nonsense.

And that may be the angle they're trying to play, in which case if Malcolm is going to stay relevant, they need to show him playing up his roles as the chessmaster and assassin, instead of an outright fighter.

Catching up on the last few eps, on episode 7 of season 2 and..did this old guy just call the Dominators "Xenomorphs" ?

Also damn they beat the shit out of government agents and Ray tosses his one guy really far over an suv. If the guy had landed the wrong way he'd be dead/paralyzed lol.

This is reminding me of Smallville whenever Clark would just *wham* right into a villain and send him flying into a wall with such force that they should have suffered more than a brief loss of consciousness.

Same Government agents did draw down on them with the intention of either killing them or forcing them into compliance with the old guy's demands. And this was when the team was trying to help.

True, but on the other hand these people were the reason the Dominators were so pissed off. I wouldn't trust these people either.

I mean who knows the next time Barry will try to f*ck with time? He says he won't but then this is the same person who went back in time to save his mother, decided not to do it...and then he went back and did the same thing a year later and this time he did it.

If I worked for the government I'd be tempted to have him imprisoned so he can never do anymore harm to the timeline. Barry was forgiven awfully quick, but the after effects of his messing with time are kind of horrifying..people flat out got erased from existence.
