I remember that game. That was a weird one. It had all the elements to be a great JRPG and yet somehow it is completely forgettable.
I haven't played it in a long time but I remember being excited for it when I bought it, and then it was just kinda..... meh. It just never really all came together well for me.
I think the characters being bland/boring was a major part of it from what I remember.

It was actually made by the same guy who created Final Fantasy 7.
Lot of good word of mouth, so looking forward to giving it a shot.
Budokai 3.
Has waaaaay better single player content over Fighter Z.
I mean, you can play "Dragon Arena" all day, its essentially like the world tour mode in Street Fighter Alpha 3. Fighter Z, all you have is a pretty bland single player mode, and a ridiculously unfair Arcade mode (On the harder levels)
I guess that unfairness brings back shades of Super Street Fighter Turbo though.

How so?
They're different kinds of fighting games, but both still fighting games. One is Tekken and the other is Marvel Vs Capcom.
Not really an excuse for skimping on single player content, plenty of people prefer playing the computer (I'm one of them).
Street Fighter Alpha 3 proves you can do it, they had a fantastic "World Tour" mode, in the arcades no less. An arcade fighting game was like "Here you go, getcha upgrades, level up, have a good time by yourself".

I find it pretty immature to criticize a game simply because it doesn't fit with your tastes. The same way Overwatch doesn't stop being a masterpiece just because it doesn't offer the quality SP content of say, Bioshock, or any at all atm.
My point was mainly about the SP content. Fair play criticising an aspect of a game you care about, because they put SP content into the game.
It's not like I'm tearing the entire thing down (Although I wish the group battle events with the bosses weren't so hard to get into. They're always over with by time I'm able to play.)
