I don't play the Ys series but that sounds like a prime candidate for emulation tbh. If they're not giving you any options, then play what's available on your PS4 and emulate the others. It's unreasonable to expect folks to buy dead systems for that tbh.

Well as Jmangan has pointed out most of the other games are on PC through Steam or for the PSP

Also I'd really suggest trying out Oath in Felghana or Ys Origin one day, both very cheap and they have hands-down some of the best bosses in gaming. Both are available on PC and both are 2D (can run at 60fps on a potato computer), Origins is on PS4 and Switch as well. If it ever goes on sale I'd highly suggest checking it out. It also has some damn good platforming, with some challenging sections in that regard as well, no real low points for my money.

I've tried looking for a physical copy Origins for the PS4, Can't find it. Gonna have to stick with owning it on Steam

even the latest game YS 9, Got no idea why no one is stocking in physical copies for the PS4 here in Australia through places like EB games yet they're getting in copies for th Switch. Gotta go on Amazon to get it.

I was including PSP in dead systems though. That said, maybe I misunderstood you. If the games are already on PC too, I'm not entirely sure what the issue is. Get digital copies of the ones on PS4 and the old ones on PC.

Or do you only want physical PS4 copies?

That's what i've been doing, If i can get the physical copies i will

the only one that needs to be re-released or remastered is the 5th game. It was released for the SNES, That's all up to Nihon Falcom.

That Flame Shrine boss was so goddamn fun, please play this series, as someone who loves the Dark Souls series, these bosses are just so much better.

So how do you handle thugs with guns in Arkham Asylum?

I know the silent takedown, and upside down takedowns and such, the problem is picking them off without their friends coming around and waking them.

Sonic Batarang is your friend. Throw it in an isolated area to lure an enemy and take them down. Will have to wait for it to recharge after though to use again, but is worth it.

Also use Batclaw to pull guys off a walkway that are patrolling near a railing or at the edge of something. The two button shortcut for Batclaw can also disarm someone.

Been doing this kind of stuff in Alien Isolation, but didn't even think to try the gadgets yet.

I'll give it a try tonight. 🙂 👆

Decided to try Just Cause 2 that was sitting in my digital library.

Not sure its for me, the game plays slowwwww. The bionic arm isn't nearly as fun to use as you'd think it should be.

I also don't like how you can't aim with handguns, its all shooting from the hip.

After playing Crackdown, Just Cause 2 just sucks.

Too bad Crackdown isn't on Steam, could make a good online coop game.

FFVII remake. I'm really really liking it.

....

..hope it's fun.

See? I told you I don't just criticise games.

But it's killing you inside.

(Still playing Ys Seven)

What the... ****?! ARE YOU SERIOUS?! That twist came out of nowhere. I knew from the beginning I was gonna have to

Spoiler:
fight Scias, cause of the hype surrounding him
, but man... that post-fight cutscene... oof.

Started to get back into those Ys games myself, Just finished Ys 1

what a **** of a end boss.

Yeah man,
Spoiler:
Dark Fact
was easily one of the hardest bosses in gaming for me, right up there with Manus, Ornstein & Smough, Daimon First & Second Form (Blind First run, he becomes a joke with every subsequent run), Sephiroth from KH1, yeah dude is way up there, and that was just on normal, lol.

Ys II's bosses are kind of a let-down in comparison. Have you beaten Oath in Felghana? When I first fought

Spoiler:
Galbalan
he drove me nuts as well.

Don't expect anything near that hard when you play VIII and IX though, games are easy as all hell.

I have Oath in Felghana and have played a little bit of it, I'm probably gonna restart it. Going to move to Ys: Memories of Celceta after i've done with Ys 2 since that seems to be the timeline of the games.

Celceta kinda lacks in the story department and isn't that challenging. It's alright I guess.

Skyrim.

Got to be honest, I hate the perk system, inventory menu, and combat in general. You die so easy trying straight melee early on, and always resort to a bow. Preferably with a companion agroing.

The reason I play it is because it's not too taxing once you know how to game the system, great for just unwinding.

Ys V i'll be playing it on a Emulator with it translated since it was released in Japan only, Nihon Falcom needs to release it again.

Wow! Wow..

Ys really, really sucks.

Why would anyone play this shit over something good like Beyond Oasis or Golden Axe Warrior?
