Spare parts? I dont remember there being a significant crafting system.
For do it yourself fixing an items condition. So say you have an extra Magnum, you can raise your main Mag out of critical state at the cost of the spare.
Same for armor, or anything breakable, even uniques (Which use the base weapon for parts)
I self fix all the time, but wondering how much I'm giving up in caps vs selling everything I loot.
50% less crit damage is good, particularly if you have the Point Lookout DLC as the weapons there tend to have a high critical multiplier for some reason, but the discounts and high repair skill will be useless by mid game.
Found any unique weapons yet? I'd recommend Abe Lincoln's Repeater or the special variants of the combat shotgun and Chinese assault rifle respectively.

The thing is, I didn't know about the speech checks giving bonuses, so inadvertently ramped up intelligence by 6%. And meds too, which is good I guess.
I have Harkness's plasma rifle so far. I like it, but ammo is hard to find and not everyone sells it. Sydney's unique SMG looks pretty sweet from the times I looted her dead body before restarting, becasue I'm planning on having my companions survive. (And I met her by Abe Lincolns quest, wirh the quest reward a rail gun? So not a repeater, I guess that's a later quest?)
Just finished replaying Deus Ex Human Revolution. Great game.....the only thing I have a complaint is the amount of hacking you need to do near the end of the game.
But still, a fantastic game. Kind of made me think that I would love to see a new game...or a remake of the original Deus Ex (which is 100% rough around the edges).
Started the Point Lookout DLC. Wow, it looks like a different game.
Brought Sydney along for support ans regretting it, she does NOT last long against the Sentry Bots and Mark IV turrets I'm currently trying to figure out how to clean up at level 10.
Probably better off telling her to wait there while I pop a Stealth Boy, a Psycho, and that other drug that give damage reduction. Plus liberal use of emp grenades (Maybe spam the rocket at range, even though I actually do more damage with a double barrel shotgun)

Taking on Point Lookout at level 10? You're a braver man than me sir.As far as Lincoln's Repeater goes, it's not a quest reward, you come across it in a locked case in one of the museums during the Lincoln Memorial poster quest.
Got through those fricken Sentry Bots and Mark V turrets, but it turns out I handicapped myself way worse then being level 10. Forgot to change out of my workman's coverals and into my Talon armor.
Lost three or four bottlecap mines taking out the bots, but worth it.
This is ironically everything I love about the game.

And lost the remaining bottlecap mines against the f'n Tribals.
Individuallly they're not so bad, its the way they attack in twos and threes that makes them a pain, with one or two hatchet men meleeing you while someone covers them with rifles and double barrel shotguns. Plus I forgot to change back into my armor again.
Final showdown was fun though, with these primitive spirit people getting turned to green goo by my futuristic Plasma rifle.
There's apparently a Final Fantasy 7 battle royale game in closed beta right now. It's called Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier, at least currently.
