IGN gave Prey on the PC version a 4/10 because it had a game breaking bug that wouldn't allow the reviewer to complete the game. I thought that's what people want?

They re-reviewed it after a patch and it scored an 8.

Huh, so it's not another God Hand situation.

Is Moon Crash dependant on completion of the base game to play properly or could I start that any time?

Prey (2017) is a underrated game, Still get people that are salty because it was originally gonna be a sequel to the original game but then it was changed to something else

if said people can look past that stuff, It's a good game.

I don't understand why people get worked up on that. Publishers generally do not cancel or rework games unless absolutely necessary. That cancelled Prey game was most likely a pile of shit and wasn't going anywhere.

I'm not sure why publishers need to make a new game with an existing title but I guess people tend to buy games they know.....

Its either that or the developer changes a game from what the first game was originally like

Heretic 2 for example people are still salty over that too with it not being a FPS like the first game.

I guess they wonder why even use the name? Like, why Prey and not something else?

They wouldn't name a a beat em up "Tomb Raider". Probably.

One thing I don't like is the out of sequence side quests, leaving you to never be sure if you aren't figuring a puzzle out or simply haven't unlocked certain things in the main story.

Dragons Dogma actually had you fail side quests if you took a wait and see approach, early on you can miss meeting a witch in a swamp because you chose to follow the main story first.

Dead Space 1. The quick time events when a necromorph grabs you and the general look/feel kind of reminding me of RE4.

Played Elden Ring. I need to get used to the mechanics on this game again instead of likeness of Sekiro tho

Spent a couple of hours playing Overwatch 2. Man, a good game already but need to get used with the Heroes again

Castlevania: Circle of the Moon. Doing it in Magician mode run for a achievement.

Grounded
A Plague Tale: Requiem

Immortal Fenyx Rising.

Yuku's Island Express.

It's essentially a Pinball metroidvania! Bounce Yuku around the map via flippers. Awesome unique experience, recommended.

Finally installed Arkhan City GOTY edition.

Fps dips with vsync vs massive screen tearing for smooth gameplay. And the DX11 features probably aren't worth it, my fan actually makes noise with them on.

Poorly optimized game for certain.

The remastered versions of those games are a pile of shit.

Are all the PC games remastered? I'm doing the Epic Game Store verisons.

Hopefully not as bad as Darksiders 2 Deathfinitive Edition, that game has actual missing textures in places.

Nah, I think the GOTY versions are just the normal ones with DLC. I think it was Batman: Return to Arkham that were the remastered versions.

Found some ini tweaks online, plays much better now. Vsync totally off though, my AMD driver control panel kept breaking and I decided to stop reinstalling the shite.

You get used to the tearing.

And currently playing Arkham City GOTY.

Catwoman is fun to play. The game in general is fun, but also has design choices I never liked from games in that era, like way too many "fetch quests", or side quest dumps filling up your map. And I especially hated the environmental puzzles, they just slow up gameplay imo, no one wants to spend a half hour fighting out how to open a door.

Except a lot of people do.
The Riddler trophies are one of the many reasons why those games are enjoyed.
It's probably one of the biggest strengths.
