Only real difference is bigger world, more to do, open ended?

No. Witcher III is open world. II was not.

The combat is probably the trickiest aspect especially on higher difficulties because you really have to fight tactically and use all aspects of blade oils, potions etc. The only infuriating aspect is that you can't jump in combat so end up getting stuck on tiny obstacles when moving about.

It is beginning to look dated now though.

Need for Speed 2015. The game was completely good as a Need for Speed game, but i think the listed Cars had the vibes the same as Underground series tho

I don't think Witcher 3 is basically the same as 2, Witcher 2 is basically similar to the first one but with free combat style. The third one was perfect among the trilogy

Looks like it's on sale on Steam.

Reviews complaining about online connectivity and always online drm... I dunno, was always a Burnout fan more, but I don't own a single NFS and liked the one I played on mobile.

Otoh Project Cars is cheaper, a friend says it's great.

My understanding is Project CARS and Need for Speed are not comparable.

One is an arcade racer, the other an simulator.

I stand corrected, forgot I had Shift.

Guess I don't need another sim racer. What's the best traditional NFS for the money then?

Hot Pursuit, Most Wanted or Underground 2 come up a lot.

GDGqRsfv64E&t=360s

Always break these out every once in awhile, they have everything a fan could ever want. Just look at that boss, Omega F'n Supreme.

If looking for an arcade racer, I wouldn't touch NFS at all (well some of the old one are quite fun....but newer I heard were shit).

I would go straight for Forza Horizon 4 or 5. I got seriously involved with 5, it's a fantastic game.

Bought FighterZ like two years ago now, but every time I wanna start I look up help forming good teams and just get totally intimidated by all the bs claiming dlc is the way to go.

It's like UI Goku and Roshi and DLC is needed, vanilla base is trash.

Then there's trying to sort out what the heck patches and buffs and nerfs did, when I don't even really understand how to form a MvsC style team to begin with. Maybe this game was a waste, fighting games are for people who treat it like a job.

It's only a job if you're actively trying to reach the top rank and/or become a pro. That applies to any competitive genre though. Just pick who you like and go have fun.

People in PvP games forget that tier lists are irrelevant for 95% of players. Those lists only matter at high levels, where people are actually bringing out the full potential of their character/weapon/vehicle/team/etc.

This why Lee Sin has an awful winrate in low level League Of Legends, but his winrate increases at high levels. Someone being "OP" doesn't matter if you can't actually execute the things making them OP.

It works in reverse too -- Xiaoyu and Eddie destroy lower level Tekken players, despite generally being considered mid-at-best characters by the pros.

Hrn, so go with my Vidal/SSJ Vegeta/Freeza team then.

The Fighter Z tier list in general is kind of funny, it stops at A tier and drops to "Needs help", with only 3 characters on it. So like everyone's viable except 3 characters.

Guessing that's probably bs. 😂

I just wish they put dlc in a practice mode against so you can get some idea how to defend against, like Killer Instinct did it.

Where does one even try looking up a current meta team? Googling brings up stuff from five years ago to one year ago, I want to know the theory crafting used now.

Just finished all of the racing modes in Need for Speed 2015 tho, i think the exception is the outlaw one. Man, gotta get finished that one fast as possible.

Fight 'N Rage.

I suck at it but it's so awesome.

I haven't played it, but checking recent, major tournament results is a good start if you just want a quick glimpse into the meta.

If you have a specific character in mind, then find the high level players for that character. See what teams they construct around that character, and go from there. Find high level content creators for the game too, and check out what they're saying.

I'd recommend the character-based approach, since you'll have more fun learning someone you like.

I've been following character vids from some of the more prominent streamers as of late.

Been thinking, even if I did top the online leaderboards (I won't, if for no reason then hackers ruin boards), is that even considered a real achievement these days?

I think the only thing people respect are the real pro's who top tourneys.

I guess it's a load off in a way, can just try and have fun and not worry about the insane loss rate.

Replaying Yakuza 6 with higher difficulty. Previous recently, i replayed it with a Hard difficulty and now i think i Will be finishing it in Legend difficulty

Agreed. Forza Horizon 4 & 5 were fantastic since the games were too awesome at all aspects

Best way to play.

I got completely bodied by a Beelzebub player in Granblue VS recently. Game is still fun AF though.

Was playing Carnal. A dirt cheap unity FPS game on Steam....it was okay for what it is

Might go onto Cultic next.
