I want to see NuBorg. With a high and proper budget the Borg could look and be truly something special indeed.

Excellent news; most pleased.

Yeah; hopefully they don't **** it up.

Wonder what this means for the Worf show though.

Michael Dorn is a bit long in the tooth to be Worfing it up, as much as I'd like a Worf-centric show, especially with Worf at the command of a multipurpose explorer/war ship.

Still, maybe CBS will consider it after the first year of this new show if it does well. Wouldn't be the first time we've had two ST shows running side-by-side.

edit: NVM, just had a mental image of a greying longhaired Worf with a crazed look in his eye sitting in the cap's chair and it was glorious

Doubt the Worf series will ever happen tbh.

Not connected to ST:Beyond? So I take it this will be a new series in the Prime Timeline.

dunno tbh.

i am very very excited for the upcoming new trek series..... i hope the cast is good and the stories great.

From what I've heard thus far only the premiere will debut on cbs television and you'll have to pay extra for this video streaming service monthly to watch this series.

What the **** is a Batlord Jedi?

Yeah people are not going to pay that while also having several other streaming services.

It is a bad move. Hopefully that changes.

CBS wants all the money, so it's a bad spot. If it ends up on broadcast TV they will demand top ratings.

No news yet about what the plot is about but studio exec Marc Evans said something interesting about where he wants the sequels to focus on. According to a report by iDigital Times, the President of the Motion Picture Group for Paramount said in an interview, "I often think about the areas of the Star Trek universe that haven't been taken advantage of,' Paramount's Evans says. 'Like, I'll be ridiculous with you, but what would Star Trek: Zero Dark Thirty look like? Where is the SEAL Team Six of the Star Trekuniverse? That fascinates me."

That sounds awesome and this news really has me excited for the NuTrek universe which has become mine across MY Internet exploits.

I want a hard-R Star Trek.

Nah, we don't need an r rated trek. I wouldn't mind it but it would hurt sales. This new hunt if true will be exactly what Dr. Quan has ordered. I love my NuTrek universe.

Game of Thrones is popular as hell, it is hard-R.

Popular for TV maybe, films need to appeal to a much broader audience. Having Star Trek R rated eliminates the youth and partially the teen demographics. Also families will be less inclined to go watch the movie. Further an R rating is contrary to the spirit of Star Trek anyways. All that said, you can sit the **** down...

🙂

I'm was talking about TV.
