Not really Black laughed at SSB Vegeta and put him in his place with 1 kick.
He laughed at SSB Vegeta because he relishes pain and he knew he'd ultimately win with his new transformation. Saying 1 kick put Vegeta in his place, while arbitrarily ignoring the shitcanning Vegeta was giving Base Black seconds prior, seems silly imho. Hell, Vegeta even acknowledges that while black had gotten much stronger/faster, his speed was still pathetic compared to SSB.
Black's speed was vastly inferior to that of SSB, and Black was smiling because he relishes pain. He did the same thing when he fought Goku. Vegeta was turning him into a poundcake while Trunks and Vegeta were casually conversing.
And SSR >>> Base Black >> SSB Vegeta would be absolutely retarded from a holistic perspective. You could argue using that line of thought that Black is above, or at the very least on par with, the likes of Beerus, lol.

Base Black was easily tanking his punches and Black Base kick hurt Vegeta more than Vegeta hurt him.
Just want to bring up that this DBS episode made DBZ Anime canon. Yajarobi died in the Anime by the androids, this did not take place in the manga. In the recent episode, they brought up him dying by the androids but he said they gave him a bean to heal him after the attack. Again, this scene never happened in the Manga, ONLY in the anime.

I haven't seen the sub yet but black blitzed Vegeta in the beginning faster than he could react and it appeared as if Black allowed Vegeta to pound on him. So let's think about this. If Vegeta was above Black, significantly above him, Black would've shown some type of damage from Vegeta blitz (who was obviously not holding back) but Black was 100% to the point that he was able to counter Vegeta and attack him with a kick that did a small amount of damage.
Black became stronger and I'm sure they are going to explain that. We had a Black that passed out from a punch from Goku as a super Saiyan and now we have a Black that is shrugging off punches from Super Saiyan Blue. I think Vegeta was above Black hair Black but not significantly but with the transformation, that put Black on another level. Goku will probably use Ken to take Black out or go white or Trunks is hiding a transformation that will end this. Remember, Trunks did tell his dad he is going to surpass him.
Vegeta actually got scared when Black smiled at him while being pounded into the ground. He got so surprised he retreated. He couldnt even scratch him or damage his clothes...
Vegeta was going for the kill as he said he was most likely going all out...
