Why? Beerus is a legitimately good character. That said, I would welcome a vengeful Vegeta legit pushing the GoD after finding out that Beerus was the one who had Frieza destroy planet Vegeta... Whether they'll actually go there, who knows, but if it were to happen I could see it being tension saved for around the end of the series.
I dont find him that great. His personality isnt that interesting to me and hes powerful just for the hell of it. I like Whis better because hes not such a **** despite bwing stronger than any hero could pretty much hope to be.
Or what is it you like about him?

His design is good, his voice actors are good, he's generally entertaining, and he works as a plot device.
Beerus during his debut was also a breath of fresh air from the previous villains of Z, even if he's not really evil, and while he'll sometimes blow up a planet or something over something petty, it just adds to the amusement factor for him (to me at least), where he kinda parodies the pettiness of such gods with that part of his personality, etc.
Whis? He's okay but he's just kinda there. Not too much for me to really like or dislike about him.

Beerus sucks, he's like the Superman of DBS, always as strong as the story needs him to be.
Yeah, Beerus has the strong as they need to be trope too, but he's usually a more fun character than most of the lot.
