It's not akin to UI at all. Like most of the noteworthy characters at the ToP have done, Vegeta simply surpassed his own limitations when he became ASSB. That's all.

Sidenote: Assuming Belmond/Khai weren't just making empty boasts, Jiren has still only revealed "A HINT" of his real power so far(even after powering-up.) If true, he should undoubtedly be above Beerus and the other Hakaishin, tbh. ermmnone

Spoiler:
So the title of ep 124 is "Fiercely overwhelming assault! Gohan's last stand!!". With Gohan suddenly helping Frieza, I guess that's it for 17? Not sure about Toppo yet though, and Gohan may go down next? Huh...

Vegeta was about what I expected, but didn't disappoint.

Liked how Goku actually uses strategy and tactics. Haven't seen that in ages. Too bad that didn't knock Bland faced gray dude out of the ring.

Wonder why Dypso didn't use super high speed mode against Hit and Goku. Definitely explains how he's faster than Jiren.

The power-scale in DBS is absolutely f*cking ridiculous right now. This episode basically implies that Goku has become well over 20x stronger in his normal SSB, since it was stated that Jiren is now using more power than he's ever used in the Tournament, and SSB Goku could trade blows with him quite well. Then Goku proceeds to power up even more into SSB+KK, and Vegeta randomly attains 'ASSB'(which put him on par with Goku), then both manage to push Jiren despite him being at the highest level he's been at in the Tourney so far. It essentially implies that both Goku and Vegeta are currently stronger than initial UI Goku was... And that doesn't make a whole lot of goddamn sense considering there has only been like 17 minutes between Goku first attaining UI and now. Lol.

At this point I'm just going to assume that Goku and Vegeta's powers just keep exponentially zenkai'ing the more they fight, because this shit is just stupid. 😂

I promised not to say anything if the show blew buffalo .hershey squirts.

And I shall keep my promise and not comment on this very very bad show, that everyone expected to be bad.

I've slowly made my peace with Beerus possibly/likely being outclassed by them now, sadly. Just hope something good can still come of Beerus in the future.

Well even tho Vegeta got a new transformation, it is still only equal to SSJB Goku's 2xKaioken. So at least Goku is still several times more powerful when he uses the higher kk multipliers, like he should be. 😄

This doesn't seem to be the case at all, tbh...

Goku may not have explicitly said "Kaioken times twenty!!!", but immediately after he powered-up Beerus stated that he was using "ALL the strength he has":

Aside from that, there is absolutely NO reason for Goku to still be holding back at this point. He knows how powerful Jiren is, and obviously knows that anything less than his full power/KKx20 wouldn't even make a dent.

So yeah, in all likelihood ASSB Vegeta is on par with SSB Goku /w/ KKx20 now... It's a completely random asspull from Toei, but whatevs... ermm

I tried not to think about it (especially base Goku tanking repeat blows from a Jiren stated be using more power than he had previously throughout the tournament). The writers put no logic nor consistency into anything. Stuff just. . . happens without rhyme or reason.

Jiren only showed a hint of his true power, don't think he's going all out yet.

Vegeta new form looks amazing.

Lol at the comments in this thread. It was outright said that Goku was becoming stronger the more he fought in the tournament.

Lol at you not comprehending the reasoning behind those comments.

I don't mind Goku becoming more powerful(to an extent) the longer he fights. What I have a problem with is him becoming well over 20x more powerful in the span of 17 MINUTES... Because that's exactly what this episode implies.

That shit doesn't make sense on ANY level at all... If you weren't so blinded by your DBS hyper-wank, you'd find it laughable/ridiculous as well. 🙂

👆

Base Goku was taking shots that were apparently stronger than the ones Jiren threw at UI Goku. A few million times stronger, anyone? 😂

Holy crap, you watch DBS?

I dont get why you are all surprised lmao.

Good to see Goku and Vegeta teaming up tho. Fav. duo. So strong without even having good coordination. Now the question is....will it EVER happen? Them having good teamwork. Damn saiyan pride. These 2 have trained and fought together longer THAN EVERYONE. but nope.

Lol... majority of these fights are lasting less than a minute. With that said, if Goku is becoming stronger per each battle he is in and he has been fighting ongoing throughout the tournament, this tells us why he is as strong as he is.

What hits did Jiren land on UI Goku?

Watched DB and Z too.

Man, if only Goku had the ability to improve that fast in previous arcs. Would have beaten Vegeta, Frieza, Cell and Kid Buu without any assistance whatsoever.
