Goku wins.

Question, how do you think a fight between Goku and Beerus would go?
When Goku attained MUI, he surpassed Beerus and the other Hakaishin.

Before that, it's hard to say exactly where Goku stood relative to Beerus. N00b/Omen-UI was uber, but it could still be countered decisively by the likes of Jiren, who is around Beerus-level imo(give or take.)

I still say Beerus would win. Or at least, it would be close.

Only because anything less then a final showdown would be anticlimactic. Why even have Beerus get bent out of shape about it, if they never settle things?

In a death match, Beerus destroys him.

I believe Goku is superior now, if only because Whis has made it a point to note that even Beerus has NOT fully mastered UI. Aside from that, it has also been hyped as an ability that 'surpasses the Gods', so yeah. That said, I don't think Goku actually surpassed Beerus until he attained MUI, which still speaks volumes about Beerus' full power. /shrug

On another note, I really hope that IF we ever see Goku in action beyond this, he doesn't have to consciously activate MUI, like he does with, say, the SSJ transformations. That would be retardedly stupid, imo.

Now that he has fully mastered UI, that should just be how Goku instinctively fights all the time(like Whis.) Having to consciously 'think' about activating MUI is entirely counterproductive and defeats the concept of Ultra Instinct all together.

Too bad the anime never had Beerus use it. Manga didn't seem to change at all though.

Yea Goku is treading in the realm of the Angels now. I wonder if Goku' hair will stay white too?

^ Not unless they retcon the EoZ chapters.

Who else even mastered it?

Angels are a given, but none of the gods seem to have it. Jiren's power doesn't seem based on it.

So far as we know, Angels are the *only* other beings who possess MUI.

Beerus can evidently use UI to an extent(which is why he was able to outfight all of the other Hakaishin simultaneously), but has not fully mastered it.

Jiren doesn't appear to use UI at all.

I still want to see Beerus fight Goku now, cause I think they'd still have Beerus win. Because the power levels are all over the place in Super anime.

That would make things less challenging though. How could you beat or even tag someone whom mastered UI. If he gets hit, doesn't that take away from Goku mastering MUI?

I think it should be an ability that he can only access during stressed moments...kinda like when Jiren was about to punch him off the edge.

If Beerus wins, this just tells us that he wasn't even using a fraction of his power during Goku Red and his fight.

Eh, that's the whole point of MUI. Goku has evolved beyond even the Gods. He has essentially reached the peak of fighting power/skill, with his only superiors being the Angels themselves.

Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if he wished for the Super Dragon to make him weaker, simply because he doesn't like the fact that he can now win every fight. ermm

The entire point of Goku is to reach a new level. That new level is still there, the angels. Him surpassing Beerus isn't enough imo... not for him when he knows people like Whis and his pap can chop his jaw and ko him. I just don't think him being able to easily access that power or it remaining on him at all times is the best approach. It takes away from future story telling.

Also, the Universes that were excluded from the tournament, even though Goku and Jiren is above belief in power, I think there are beings in the other Universes that are probably far stronger.

They are not taking his UI away from him man. One a Saiyen achieves a level Especially Goku, he never forget how to access it. Also as shown it took him many times to master the ability and Whis said he can dog deeper and beyond UI so he's not somehow forgetting UI.

We also don't know his true limits, the angels might be within his reach eventually we just don't know how far he can go but we do know he truely can keep breaking his limits.

😕 Beerus was able to one-shot MSSB Vegeta in the manga. SO yea he wasn't using anywhere close to full power against SSG Goku. He could have one-shot Goku in BoG arc just as easily as he did ssj3 Goku.

will it ever become a thing that it was beerus who ordered the destruction of planet vegeta?

Doubtful cause he never actually did it.

Agreed. They probably have to treat MUI as a transformation for Goku though because marketing.

Right? Was wondering if that would be a plot point brought up again or just forgotten, although learning it would only piss off Vegeta at this point, not so much Goku or anyone.
