Even when it's a fun episode, DBS is still full of damage control. Also funny enough when trying to access the episode on Crunchyroll, the site crashed due to the amount of traffic.
Also I still think its lame that MUI is a transformation and not just a permanent benchmark for Goku like Mystic form was for Gohan. Though I get the feeling the next episode is going to be filler-ish with 17 and Frieza as I'm not sure where the ToP can go at this point.

Feel free to disagree.Imho he was superior to Jiren (although not far superior) for a short time, not long enough to win. Jiren was not done yet and has the power to get up and kill Goku, who on the other hand was taxed (by pushing himself above Jiren for a limited period of time) enough to be at Jirens mercy and needing help from Freeza.
Goku was "losing" all the time against Jiren yet was never really done and was able to compete. The fight is over when one closes the eyes shut.
Once Goku went all-out, he literally beat Jiren with a punch+blast combo, which left Jiren battered/incapacitated on the ground, and outright admitting defeat. Goku beat him straight-up -- and he did so decisively, tbh.
17 would have been a better reveal with more punch had Goku actually been sent to the stands. Right now it's likely him and Frieza are only in to get Goku back, which means they are finally expendable.
From the preview Jiren still can access his aura, which means he should be far above Frieza/17 still. Frieza gets reverted back to 4th form, and Goku gets up and attacks in base. 17 is likely gone, but who knows at this point?
For the wish they're probably going with Vegeta's wish. And they'll wish Frieza back/a boat with the normal DBs. At least that's the only way that makes any real sense. Goku might just wish everyone back though.

I think he's just trying to say that since Jiren technically lasted long enough for Goku's body to break apart that the victory is not all that clear cut.
This does ignore the fact that Goku has been fighting non-stop the whole time while Jiren has been more or less chilling. It's almost a weird tortoise and the hare story where Jiren started out so far ahead that he laid back doing nothing and now the weaklings are about to win the race.

I don't think Prof is adding in the fact that Goku is ridiculously powered up in a fatigued body. The question should be, would the results have been the same if Goku had his new transformation in 100% physical peek condition.
I really enjoyed this episode, I think they included Beerus stating Goku legit beat Jiren to at least solidify that MUI Goku was stronger than Jiren before taking the story in a different direction because I doubt we'll be seeing MUI again in combat.
I hope 17 and Frieza get to actually do something instead of being fodder that end up just giving Goku energy lol.

Speaking of, I forget now, did Zeno press the button on the godpad when 17 appeared to be eliminated after self-destructing, or was 17's icon just left blank for MIA? Even the Grand Priest counted him out though, so it still feels retarded/forced to a point.
Weren't you and I talking about that a while back? I can't remember what's what with these discussions anymore... 😖

They’ll revive everyone to live in U7.
They probably are bringing back everything tbh. But the best would be u6, while still making it feel like there's repercussions.
If they wish for a ****ing boat though... that would be both the funniest and worst thing ever.
