It's sounding like the new chapter is beginning serialization in next week's issue of V-Jump, so it should be separately published from the primary manga.

That thread should be a lot more active here, as consistently good as it is.

Scratch what I previously said. The word now is that the new DBS manga story arc starting up in the next issue of V-Jump will be an "original story" set after the Broly movie.

So they're skipping it like ROF?

That's what it's sounding like.

Skipping it is not such a bad thing, but it still leaves us with the question, what will matter more?

The movie or the retelling in the anime? I mean, which one (if any) will be considered canon to manga?

If indeed there is an anime retelling of Broly, it should take precedence over the film in terms of canonicity, just like the anime retellings of BoG and RoF did.

...Assuming such a retelling is directly overseen by Toriyama, of course. If it were just Toei doing their own thing, then it'd be questionable I suppose.

Even tho I would love to see a retell on Broly I think its better that they skip it.

I completely agree. There's no way the anime would be able to match the visuals in this from what I'm hearing. It'd just end up being a massive downgrade.

Don't know how else the original Supreme Kai could still exist given that he was fully absorbed into Boo.

The most interesting is who is the demon that killed Jiren people. That's the villain i am waiting for.

Glad the manga is skipping the Broly arc after all. Some good news. Hopefully the anime follows suit too and continues from where it left off instead of wasting our time for an arc.
