I mean, besides the obvious, if he could use Kaioken, then ssj2 or even ssj3 would have been useless against Perfect Cell

Cell said that he could have probably whipped up a Spirit Bomb:

So if he knew about(and could potentially create) a Spirit Bomb, then using KaioKen should've technically been possible as well... Though it obviously could not have happened in the story itself for the reasons you mentioned. I mean, SPC w. KKx4 would have been SS3 level, ffs. 😂

Super Kaioken wasn't a thing. We only got it via anime filler.

And Goku said it would kill him if he got it wrong, so its probably not something Cell could pull off in short order.

There's also the fact he's evil, and the King Kai techniques seem to require a pure heart. Because of that, I don't see how he even could have done a spirit bomb without destroying himself.

That's cause SSJ mode literally drains energy, so Kaioken and Super Saiyan is impossible. Cell didn't have that problem with energy drain from a power up. Just like, if Piccolo could use Kaioken, he'd be able to compete with ssj forms because he doesn't have another power up form that drains energy. That's why the anime of Super brought back Kaioken, because in the anime Blue form doesn't drain energy like mad.

How powerful would Cell become if he was released right now, and absorbed current androids 17 and 18?

Would be fun to see how strong Present Day Cell would have been. Because 17 and 18 were so much stronger than their Future counterparts.

Started watching Super. So far it's underwhelming for 10 episodes.

It doesn't start getting good until the third arc. First two arcs are just drawn out rehashes of the movies that started the revival.

Also SS2 Vegeta surpassing SS3 Goku is dumb AF.

That's pretty much the entire series, up to [parts of] the Zamasu arc and the ToP.

The Broly movie is great, though. Watch that after you finish the ToP.

Good luck trying to keep track of scaling in the TOP. 😂

Specially since, it's only really suppose to be Gohan who gets rage boosts.

"Strenghtened" SSJ2 Future Trunks being near-equal to SSJ3 Goku with God ki

That was then, now it's becoming more and more common.

Wait, when Did Jaco met Bulma as a kid? Was it a retcon? Also when did Elder Kai got resurrected and East Kai and Kaibito separate?

It was stated in DBS that they used a wish from Porunga to defuse.

Well Bulmas older sister made friends with him during the time Goku came to Earth so probably sometime around then. It might have been at the end of his introduction manga series but I really don't remember.

Seriously, Super is seriously boring till 6th universe saga. I don't know how they could put more filler than DBZ in less number of episodes.

The fights are pretty boring too. Ginyu was a bundle of laughs though.

Also just thought of this, how did Cell end up four years in the past when Trunks was coming to three years ago and Cell never touched anything?

Yeah, that's pretty much what you get the entire time.

Parts of the U6vs.U7 Tournament are good(especially when Hit steps in.)
Parts of the Black/Zamasu arc are good.
Parts of the ToP are really good(especially toward the middle/end.)

Aside from that, it's meh.

Finished Future Trunks saga. What a boring mess, Trunks was the only good part of it, Zamasu was boring, Goku Black was just card carrying villain with no personality and the resolution of the arc is just atrocious (Hey Zeno erases everything and Trunks, you go live in an alternate timeline).

The original Trunks saga was so ****ing fantastic, I can't believe they published this drivel.
