If Beerus > Moro (which absolutely seemed to be the authorial intent here), then really no claims made about his power up to this point make sense. He's FAR stronger than has ever been implied before.

The combined ki of Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, and all the other Z Fighters was enough to take Goku from base to SSB. The God ki of Oob alone took Goku from base to MUI+.
Given this revelation, it now makes a lot more sense for EoZ Goku to think of Oob as a potential rival after being trained... Oob's latent God ki is massive.

And aside from that, Oob only possesses the remaining God ki that DaiKaioshin still had before he split into evil/pure Boo... Which is astounding when you then consider that DaiKaioshin was stated to have given up "most of" his godly power when he originally sealed Moro away:

Wait, isnt Oob a reincarnation of Kid Buu and if the answer is yes and Kid Buu had all of this power within him, how in the world did Goku at standard Super Saiyan 2/3 levels even challenge him? Heck, the spirit bomb should be nothing to him at those levels as well.

You mean, just ki in general of the Z fighters. But most of those were still drained of energy also. Vegeta didn't even go out of ssjb when he lent his power to the orb, which means he can't have gave too much? It's weird..
Cause only 3 people have any god ki, and that is Dende, Vegeta, and Gokou, besides Uub.

It seems more like it was implied that Beerus was going to join the others in taking down Moro (not that he was going to do it himself) and that they had to hurry (not that it meant that it will be quick).
