So what is Freeza up to?

He could have finished Goku and Vegeta right there. The fact he didn't must mean he needs them for something.

I think Frieza is starting to become more saiyan like, in that he figured finishing off Goku and Vegeta then and there wouldnt be much fun compared to seeing how strong they get again later. In other words, Frieza wants them to become more of a match for his current self so that he can test the extent of his newfound power, so for the time being, he killed Gas and one-shotted the two saiyans as a wake-up call.

The competitive nature of the saiyans it seems has rubbed off on Frieza, giving him some unexpected development.

So he's using them to get stronger? Makes sense.

I'm just wondering if he has a higher goal in mind though. The ToP established he has Zeno on the radar. He can't beat Zeno, but we know he isn't omnipotent. He needed help out of that endless void he created in future Trunks timeline, for example.

And if he knows about the Zeno button, that can be really useful for taking Zeno off the map. Say maybe he finds a room of spirit and time where time is so slow, anyone trapped in it would take a million years just to reach the exit, set Zeno button to go off and toss inside.

Beerus himself is the easiest, simply Freeza Beam the Kaioshin.

The problem with Freeza trying to usurp Zen-Oh, is the existence of the GP. Even if Freeza used the button to *poof* to Zen-Oh's palace, GP would just meet him at the front door and tell him to f*ck off. If Freeza tried to enter the palace by force, GP would just finger-flick him into oblivion.

Aside from GP, there are also Zen-Oh's guards to consider. Granted, we have no clue what they are capable of, but logically speaking, they must be absurdly powerful if they are tasked with protecting the most powerful being(s) in the multiverse.

...Unless, of course, GP covertly teamed-up with Freeza and aided him in killing the Zen-Ohs. That'd be a plot-twist I'd actually like to see: the most powerful Angel turning evil.

Fantasized about that scenario before, would be interesting. Grand Priest has a kind of creepy grin too.

Wonder what became of Future Trunks entourage? Did he squish them too?

Because that's kimd of terrifying if so. Maybe GP and the guards exist not to protect him from us, but to protect us from him. 😂

Dont know if this was ever mentioned, but last months V-jump confirmed that Belmond used to be a member of the Pride Troopers.

Guess that explains why he is so much younger and weaker than other Destroyers like Beerus. And also why someone from his own universe like Jiren could surpass him.

The ToP really ruined how people look at the GoDs. Shit like the Belmond stuff make them seem not nearly as grandiose now, much as they still make Beerus appear powerful compared to whatever arc antagonist.

For me, it just reiterates what a lot of us have been saying for years: that not all Destroyers are created equal.

Belmond has been a Destroyer for a few hundred-thousand years(and is very close to retirement), whereas Beerus has been a Destroyer for hundredS of millionS of years(and showing no signs of slowing down.) So even if Beerus has spent the majority of his time as a Destroyer slacking off, it still makes sense for him to have perfected UE(and to a lesser extent UI) to a MUCH greater extent than the likes of 'younger' Destroyers such as Belmond.

Also helps explain how Jiren could have already surpassed Belmond during the ToP, while Beerus still seems to be solidly above those who absolutely eclipse Jiren(like Broly, Moro, UI Goku, UE Vegeta, Granolah, Gas... And probably even Black Freeza.)

Tori: Lulz, gonna troll my fanbase good with this dumb purple cat.

🙁

You're not wrong though. 🙁

What's the difference between Goku Black's zenkai ability, and Vegeta's Ultra Ego ability?

Zenkai boosts are permanent and generally kick in once you heal, UE aren't healing dependent and seem temperary.

Think Pitt's power of getting stronger as pain is inflicted on him.

Watched Super Hero last night.

Worst part was the ending. When does Goku let anyone win?? 😱

It's an Evil Goku act. Like the worst way to troll Vegeta. OOC for Goku too, when did he become empathetic enough to understand someone else's needs, much less insightful enough to manipulate them about it?

Orange Piccolo was awesome. Clearly much stronger then Ultimate Gohan, but nowhere near Gohans new form. Is this a canon form now?

Gohan's new form looked like a Sonic the Hedgehog Super form. Silver the Hedgehog actually. Ultra Instinct color. So what was the point of the weak point on Cell Max? Could Gohan have just beaten him down without it?

Beerus's reaction to Brolly was very interesting. Seemed to imply he saw Brolly as an actual threat!

I feel bad for Dr. Hedo. Kind of a wasted character sticking him with Bulma making anti-aging cream, instead of using him to upgrade 17 and 18.

Pretty sure Goku letting him win, but not 100% sure.

He laughed and seemed to wink as Vegeta said "I really did it". Seems to imply Goku threw the fight (OOC if true).

Agree on the Goku part.

And pretty sure it is canon, thus making Piccolo a relevant part of the team again; the one good thing to come of this film.

We can only speculate how it would have gone down if Cell Max didnt have that convenient weak spot like an old designed video game boss (I guess that be a jab at my namesake too), but as it is, the way Gohan won here wasnt too impressive as I said before, especially with Piccolo holding down his target for him. Sure, he had help against Super Perfect Cell as a teen, but that required the literal full power of everyone present.

I saw it more as Beerus having a crush on Cheelai and him thus seeing Broly as a romantic rival. Cute and cringe at the same time.

Yeah, would have preferred Hedo either upgrading the androids or making a different heroic version of Cell or something to atone for Cell Max, who would be more complete (and thus would have intelligence, techniques, and regeneration), etc. I dont know, just something if we are never going to get the OG Cell back in some form.

Cell should be easy peasy to bring in too, for starters the Cell Games version was an alternate timeline Cell, soooooo.... how about another alternate timeline where Cell wins, and discovers the wider universe where he grows in power? Maybe even becomes the new GoD, or at least an initiate?

If not that, they can always retcon Cell Games Cell actually surviving Gohan, and having spent the past several years doing his own thing.

So did Goku forget about Kaio Ken? Base forms was the rule, NOTHING about not using base form power ups.

Or maybe Goku WAS using it, like he kept it on in Freeza Saga? This would mean Vegeta has a MUCH higher natural base. 🙂

👆

Nice.

So much for any hope of Gohan fighting Black Freeza.

Not without another powerup.
