I hope Tori's dissatisfaction with the animation amounts to something then, though even without the animation problems the show wouldn't be that much better; just slightly more tolerable, with all its other problems.

I like it, but it definately pads pads episodes out.
Seeing Mr. Satan and Gohan with Pan was a highlight. Satan makes a good grandfather. 🙂
Originally posted by Ridley_PrimeSpecifically the cell games. The quality was all over the place. From cell and gokus fight to gohans transformation. Another was trunks battle with cell. Although I like the cell saga more I think the goku vs majin vegeta fight from the buu saga was much more consistant with its art. Gt was when I felt the fights became lifeless. Super seems to be continuing that trend
What parts of the Cell saga was its animation lacking? Don't really recall that, tbh.Ya know after rewatching the Battle of the Gods movie again recently with a friend, it got kinda depressing knowing that the animation and fighting there would be the best we'd ever get from Dragon Ball for years.
Also, Frost isn't entirely what he seems. Spoilers I guess (kinda answers those wondering how Goku lost).

edit: Well, don't know how much of that is actually legit based on other info.
Pretty stupid that Goku let Frost win.
I get why he let him win but wasnt Goku super hyped up about competing in a tournament and fighting all of the strongest guys in the universe?
It was his idea to join Berus's team in the first place.
This just sets up the usual, "goku is out of the picture for a while, till his friends get almost murdered by the new threat . And come back in the end to beat the new baddie/threat"
Goku didn't let Frost win. Watch closely. His last punch that Goku bats away let's off a purple flash, then Goku immediately gets woozy and falls out. He even says he doesn't know what happened or what technique Frost used to win.
And he had no reservation about beating Frost down the entire fight. No way he threw it.
Goku completely ignored what he said about the kids and stuff. And was content to best on him until he gave quit. Why would Goku throw the match when his entire worlbs existence is at stake? Beerus and Whis already taught him not to f*ck around after Freeza killed the world.
He is even visually effected right after the hit. He swats it away, the tiny purple flash happens, he winced in confusion, then his vision gets blurry and he stumbles out of the ring. In the preview for the next episode, he states he has no idea how Frost suddenly won like that.
And we all know Goku has never once thrown a fight. Why would he now after he's grown and the stakes are so high?
He didn't let him win. All the evidence points to the opposite. Especially Goku himself wondering what happened and how Frost won. And the fact that something sneaky happened to basically poison or weaken him enough for Frost to get that kick off. We see his reaction from Goku's pov and something is clearly wrong.
Goku loves to fight so much he would have went up against everyone on the other team if he could. Why would he throw a match? He wouldn't.
