For decades, Marvel Comics fans have debated who’s stronger: Thor, god of thunder, or the jade giant known as the Incredible Hulk. While solid arguments can be — and have been — made on behalf of either Avenger, there’s never been a truly definitive answer, so it’s understandable that some fans might be hoping for Thor: Ragnarok to settle the debate, once and for all.
Well, according to screenwriter Eric Pearson, that’s not likely to happen. Though he admits that the film does give fans what they want in the fight itself, anyone expecting the final verdict on which superhero is truly the mightiest will be left wanting.
“I think people will continue to have those debates even after the fight,” Pearson told CBR in an upcoming interview. “I think that’s what is the most fun about being a fan of these kinds of things. You have your favorites. It is nerd sports. You have your favorites and your own belief in their strengths and weaknesses. It’s a blast to talk about who you think would ultimately win. There was a lot of attention paid to that fight. We knew it would be a big attraction. From the beginning, we were doing a lot to choreograph the moments that we needed.”
“I think we gave a pretty satisfying ending to the fight,” the writer mused. “It’s both definitive and ambiguous, if that’s possible.”

Hulk fans upset that greeny was outmatched."Thunder thunder thunder"
Only reason Hulk did not lose was because of Grandmaster.
A non comic book fan who watched the movie will have that feeling.

Opinions aren't canon, only what the movies show count. And the movies clearly show that a handicapped Thor was able to fight an amped Hulk for a fair amount of time before being overwhelmed, once Thor went god mode he was shown to have a decisive advantage to the point that The Grandmaster decided to intervene in order to save the Hulk.
You are expressing the opinions. How was the Hulk Amped? He wasn't raging like he was in AoU after the the Scarlet Witch instigated he rampage through the South African City.
How was Thor handicaped in the fight other than at the the very end when his obedience disk was activated?
The Grandmaster intervened because he wasn't sure of the ouctome, not to save the hulk. There is no evidence of that. The writer by his account left it ambigous which is the exactly almost ever comic book where thes two tangle have always been written.

It’s not feeling, it’s a fact that Thor was winning.
Hulk (after landing all his best punches on Thor), was al groggy and needed recovery. Whereas Thor was casually walking upto Hulk to finish him off.
The guy that wrote the screenplay has spoken, and Marvel oversees the movie productions and the scripts.
Movie Pilot is a site with an opinion and Stan Lee quotes have no more relevance in 2017 than Tom Defalco, Tom Breevort, Axel Alonso or any other editor of the company. Marvel is a living mythology and there is a 60 year history to these characters and their conflicts. There are other sites that actually give the advantage to the Hulk in a majority of the 15 or so times they have fought in the comics. I could give you a dozen similar sites with different opinions or quotes where Stan said the Hulk could beat Superman because of his DYNAMIC STRENGTH that has NO LIMIT.
The Screenwriter indicated that there was meant to be no proof in the fight, only more debate. So you are write, I can offern no proof but neither can you, only interpretation. So yes, it is a feeling for YOU that Thor was winning.
I am at least honest enough to admit, Thor being thousands of years old and innate godly power along with his strength and speed combat skills make him a beast.
You seem to ignore that the MCU has shown numerous instances where metal, concrete, etc. are nothing more to the Hulk than paper mache. He is that strong. He runs through a concrete bunker and demolishes it, or he simply walks on to the Quinjet and the metal gives way like paper. Thor or the otherhand can be caged, or held in shackles and restrained in a chair. There is no comparison between the two and that is what the movies have shown. The Hulk's head shot to Surtur affected him at least as much as Hela launching huge chunks of Asgard rock spikes into him.
Yes these are my opinions and you have differnt ones but at least I acknolwledge that is what the screenwriter intended.

No, I'm stating what the movie actually shows. Hulk had weapons which aren't standard for him, thus he was amped.
Thor didn't have Mjolnir, nor access to his weather powers until he went god mode. this is common sense.
No, the Grandmaster intervened because he was afraid his champion was about to lose, the movie made this clear.
Here's some facts:
Thor took a dozen or so of Hulk's best punches and was still not knocked out. Was still in prime fighting condition and was able to extricate himself from Hulk and fight back.
Hulk took 2 of Thor's best punches, was woozy from those punches, then Thor was zapped. Hulk showed no ability to stop these punches.
Holy Toledo, skipped to the end of the thread. Why is anyone arguing for Hulk still being superior to Thor? Ragnarok showed Thor is the definitive top-dog Superman for the Avengers. No questions asked, no quarter given.
Loved the movie and both characters' portrayals, but this one's been put out to pasture.
EDIT: Clarity.

Not according to the guy who wrote the scene. You choose to see it that way and Hulk fans don't which just makes it a debate based on opinion. If you take Eric Pearson at his word, that is exactly what he intended writing the fight.
The Hulk having weapons doesn't amp him. In fact his best showing was after he took about 5 successive hits with his own hammer from Thor and he got pissed and stopped Thor and his running leap attack with the hammer dead in its tracks with one hand. He then punched him across the arean and pounded him into a crater. All barehanded, so the weapons while cool were irrelevant.

What the movies show >>> opinions.
Yes,it does.
GM interfered because he thought Thor was going to win.

Agree entirely.
Is the same thing i told these guys some pages ago! Yet they won't take anything that isn't supporting their Beloved Thor.

Thor was not fine, in fact if his father had not reached him in his vision the fight would have been over right there. He was injured from the fight and the Hulk was not. He may have been affected from the lightning punches be he got right up, just as he did when Surtur slung him across half of Asgard. He was ready and wanted to go right back at Surtur. It's one of the benefits of knowing you are just going to get stronger every minute.
Since those two punches only were the last 30 seconds of a fight that was only a few minutes in length, it doesn't leave any conclusions. You don't have to take my opinion, the writer himself said it was left ambiguous by design and this fight would not answer the question of who would win.

The scene ended after GM interfered in order to save the Hulk.

Hulk was getting those lightning punches just fine!
What would have happened on the other hand if Hulk would have landed another hit to Thor I wonder...
Well it's sure the movie created a good cliffhanger.

However, the Hulk is the strongert one there is and his strength is virtually limitless. He may not be immortal in the same way Thor is but he likely unkillable. Could he ever be a Superman to the Avengers? No but he is a Doomsday with Banner's humanity rambling around inside.
Like the movies have shown, the material world is like paper mache to the Hulk. He breaks things just by being and that makes him formidable.
