The Hulk didn't have any meaningful impact on Surtur and was tossed like a bug.God-mode Thor was shown to have such an advantage that the GM interfered in order to save the Hulk.
Tossed an unhurt and ready to attack again which would have been more powerful than the last.
God-mode Thor was only shown to be a challenge for the Hulk and a risk the GM was unwilling to take. Not to save the Hulk. Again, this is what the writer intended. Not you or me! That is what happened, exactly what he wrote. I understand that you want to see it differently just realize the other side has ample ability to argue the opposite.

I guess we will have to wait for Infinity War to continue this debate.
And it will continue. They will give each of them something epic to do. It likely won't utilize the same set of skills or powerset which will have both sides arguing which powerset is better. I fully expect that.

So?No, god-mode Thor was shown to be above the Hulk, which is why the GM interefered.

How much bandwidth do you want to eat up? I'll keep reposting ad infinitum if you like.

No, god-mode Thor was shown to be superior, that is why the GM interfered. His favored champion looked to be losing.

If you are just talking skills/powerset, then there is no contest Thor's skills/powerset >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hulk's.
The Hulk will be shown to have mindbending strength and Thor to have awesome power and it won't be show in any way which one might trump the other. That is my predicition.
That contest is till open by the way so Hulk's strength has been show to be greater and at least ================= to Thor's power!
I can keep reposting this one as well in response!

Only the Hulk's strength hasn't been shown to be equal to Thor's power. MCU Thor's best power feats trump anything this version of the Hulk has ever done.

Wrong.

The Hulk's strength was shown to be equal to Thor's power in the battle of NY, the first battle is Sokovia, the second battle of Sokovia, etc. He was the weapon held in reserve, the Code Green. Thor wasn't the secret weapon to contain the Hulk if he lost it, it was the Mark 44 Hulkbuster armor that Bruce and Tony co-engineered. Even that wasn't enough. Tony's normal armor was enough to give Thor a good fight.
Black Widow even said the thing that made Banner stand out was she was surrounded by friends who want to fight and then she meets a guy that doesn't want to fight because he knows if he does he'll win.
Asgardian weapons were inneffective against Fenris and Heimdall who is no lightweight was preparing for the end when the Hulk intervened and fought the beast that was destined to be Odin's bane.
For all his power, Thor could have been killed when Hulk slung the shield at him in his quarters. It didn't connect but it was and indication of how deadly the the Hulk's strength is and how dangerous it is to be around him even for a god.
When they were trying to figure out how to get off Sakar, if Thor's power was so overwhelming and could have extricated them, why did Loki suggest to him and Banner to loose the beast(Hulk)? An option that neither of them wanted to entertain.
Then you have the fight itself, Hulk' strength was allowing him to fight all of Thors powers(Strength, speed, agility, H2H ability, and god power).
It's clear, that Marvel has worked to maintain this balance of the Hulk's strength and Thor's power to date to service the fans. You even had the screenwriter in the latest movie admit to it. Kudos to them.
GreenGoliath, just have in mind that SilentMaster won't reason with anything you throw at him.
In the end you know it's just your opinion against him.
After all, the movie wanted the scene to be a cliffhanger so that people could draw their own conclusions.
Both you and him are right according to the movie.
