I kind of hope it's true just so I could see TempestNephthys's reaction. Half a decade of ranting about SidiousVitiate being the most important guy ever getting completely shat on makes for some primo comedy.

I didn't do that. Though this does make the TOR era unmistakably the strongest era. Kind of crazy how many powerhouses were running around.

What's wrong, Sin?

Priceless.

I thought you'd be as annoyed at this as anyone considering how buttmad you were at the original Swtor for pulling this shit, tbh. 😖hrug:

Vitiate lost all his swag. I guess I'll take your advice and return to my roots.

It's an asspull of epic proportion, no doubt. But some of us anticipated more weak writing.

Personally, I'm just savoring the exquisite irony of the situation. I tried to warn you: no one cares about Vitiate. Whereas Sidious is an iconic villain and an important pillar of Star Wars, guys like Vitiate and Bane and Nihilus are really inconsequential.

It's a fact you've always been blind to and now, unfortunately, you're about to pay the price for your lack of vision.

That quote deserves a .gif

Uh, I'm pretty sure I never gave a shit about that stuff. You had those arguments with Zam and Beefy, remember? I think my only interjection was to support the idea that Vitiate and Nihilus were threats to all galactic life so they were on a different scale to Sidious in that regard.

Suuuure, Neph. Suuuure. Your entire platform crumbles tbh. That's why you've reacted to this news with such immense displeasure. Setting aside Vitiate's negligible importance in the grand scheme of things, his importance even within his own era has been utterly neutered.

Meanwhile, the potency and legacy of Darth Sidious remains proudly erect, unmatched in length and girth. excellent

Wow, so desperate to gloat. My "platform" is untarnished, this doesn't diminish Vitiate in any way or make him less powerful than he was a week ago. He still did all the shit he did. It just means Bioware pulled the "AND THE WAS AN EVEN BIGGER, BADDER VILLAIN OUT THERE!!!" card. That's why I'm reacting poorly. It's terrible writing and I'd hoped for so much more considering how much I liked the previous story arc.

The only one concerned about "importance" is you, because you're insecure about that stuff apparently. I don't care, it doesn't affect the work that much or my enjoyment of it.

You're rapidly approaching TDK/Joker-levels of nerd!rage here, Neph. Isn't that the hyperventilation threshold? mmm

It's fine and dandy to be upset by this development {though again, I think a lot of us here are baffled by your utter surprise}, but there's no need to get testy about my mild amusement of the situation's irony.

Uh, what?

Exactly.

That picture threw you, didn't it? You're paralyzed with internal conflict. Part of you wants to hate the picture because it has a powerful, brilliant, successful villain in it and the rest of you wants to love the Joker part.

It's like a fvcking Rorschach test for you. mmm

What do you see?

A hand, reaching for something that's not there.

Your genitals? mmm
