I see you're a man of culture as well.

F*ck man. I cant look past the hack and slash combat in this game. I tried it in the demo, but I really hated it. I think I'm gonna have to sit this one out.

I will not fight a mentally disabled boy.

I didn't even watch the vid.

My comment is directed at the Youtuber. Seen his work, think he's a joke. I'd take Dark Side Phil more seriously then him.

He's great at Final Fantasy and fighting game stuff, imo. But that's me.

The "hack and slash" part of it is only a small part, and as you progress, it becomes less and less prominent. And you can always play classic mode.

I mean, you do you and all, but if the combat is your main stumbling block, I feel like it shouldn't get in your way. I'm 9 hours in and there's lots to love imo.

A well respected man about town even.

Almost nine hours in and I just defeated the Airburster at the reactor and landed in the church to meet Aerith.

A solid game all around, but the first two hours are slow filler.

I'm currently at sixteen hours, and in all honesty, I can see the faults. But when they get it right? Good God, they get it so right. There are times when it is literally the game I always hoped it would be.

And this the first of how many dlcs?

I might be able to complete a new play through of the classic before I finish all the individual episodes, if each one is over 20 hours.

We don't know yet. I think most people are expecting it to be a three or four game series, which sounds about right to me.

And I don't think it's fair to talk about it as if they're DLCs. If the next ones are anything like this, I think they'll easily justify being released as full games.

The story can be finished in 32 hours, according to an IGN review.

I'm at 15 hours and I just got to the Wall Market.

Also, WTF is the pattern to fighting and defeating

Spoiler:
the Hell House?
I won the first time, but HOLY SHIT is was tedious and mind numbing.

One thing I've learned in this game, even without your spoiler, is that every remotely hard enemy has a specific weakness and if you don't exploit it, you're gonna have a bad time. The

Spoiler:
Assess
materia is super, super useful in that regard.

The good thing is, once you know how to exploit it, you most likely have the tools in your arsenal to do so.

Though I wish I had known I could fight

Spoiler:
Shiva
with Aerith in my party. I did that shit with just Cloud.

Episodic is still episodic.

I never mindex that so much with Telltale games because I never bought any of them until they were complete and on sale.

Here's hoping they keep to a regular schedule, because nothing gives me agida like getting into something that never sees an ending. I'm looking at you Half-Life 2.

Sure, but episodic isn't the same as them being DLC.

I do wonder how long it will be before the next one though, yeah.

I dropped out of the

Spoiler:
Shiva VR fight
about five minutes in and then equipped fire/elemental on my Buster Sword and had Aerith with me. Didn’t take long, especially with help from Irfit.

Wait it's episodic?

Lol f*ck these people

I put Ice and Elemental on my armour, then just pelted her with fire spells and Ifrit.

If/When you play it, you'll understand why. This isn't like when Hitman did it.

I would have much preferred a full and finished product, but I think that Square is not only testing the waters for this remake, but are also trying to capitalize, too.

I’m okay with multiple releases, to be honest. Especially since it’s just $50. I’m betting it’ll be three releases to complete the story.

I can’t wait for DLC.

I feel old cuz I just can't get into episodic gaming.

I'm the type who would just prefer to wait until all episodes are out then before playing.

*shaking fist in general direction of wrong doers*
