Be helpful Timmy and name some nice Restaurants and other shopping establishments were we can purchase goods with gold and silver?

Ya know...Help out the common guy for once.

One man's useless paper is another's more prized possession.

So that's what happened to all of Robtards old school papers.

I could go one to how paper is used in medical supplies for things like band-aids sutures but I doubt you really care. You tried to say Gold is more valuable because it has other applications even though paper has more and is used more.

You said post it notes, then one you realized how silly you sounded you changed your arguements and now talking about band aids for you bum I just tore up. More proof you just wanna troll me when comparing gold to post it notes.

I did say post it notes as one example out of many more.

You're just can't handle that you're silly argument involving gold having more applications than paper is false.

Do you need some band aids? Band aids are not made from paper, so you failed again. Ur scratching a crawling for answers and spinning the OP.

The OP was about Metal vs Paper Currency.

Not band aids and sticky notes.

Keep going though.

The sterile (inside) wrapping they come in is made of paper.

Thats the wrapper then, not the band aid. Please keep being silly though.

You're the one you said Gold had more value because it was used in other applications besides currency. It's not my fault paper is used for more than currency as well.

You said band aids. Nuff said. You were wrong, deal with it and move on, SMF.

But paper is used to help package them and make sure they stay sterile which is pretty important.

And it does not detract from the original statement. Paper is more widely used in other products besides currency than gold is. Good attempt at deflating attention from the core point though.

U were wrong, sorry, deal with it, SMF.

I guess I could say microwaves are paper too cause them come in paper boxes. 😂

Once again deflating. Paper is more used in non currency products than Gold is. Therefore your statement of Gold being more valuable because it is used for other things besides currency is false.

Is this the summit of our dispute, paper vs plastic? I bet you don't even drive a hybrid son.

Get lost.

What a waste of a day. Appears any sort of conversation above idiotic meaningless facts is where this forum has come.

We could have gotten into a better discussion but your brain can't handle anything above what you can remember writing on a sticky note.

True fact here unlike yours.

Hey buddy, I was just posting to keep it real, not to join sides with either of you two battlers.

edit: A quick google does show a product called "band-aid paper tape" and it notes that it's not made with latex. So it does seem that some band-aids are made with or contain paper in some form.

What a crap convo now, more concerned with meaningless facts then talking about why we off the gold standard. This place has gone wacko.

We are down to debating paper vs plastic now. I aint wasting my time with this.

So this is the topic of the thread. Why are we off the gold standard?

This thread has gone way off topic. I suggest that it be closed.
