New Darth Vader....Vader down.

Started by Emperordmb13 pages

Considering lesser opponents have been capable of briefly dueling Luke/Yoda/Sheev (i.e. Dooku, Maul, Gaalan), I never believed Yoda/Sidious/Luke were so ridiculously untouchable that they could blitz Vader. Sidious didn't show his full power and is still Vader's clear superior, I really don't see a problem with anything having to do with the power disparity between them in the Disney continuity (aside from the Vader>Sidious in sabers quote depending on how seriously you take that, which I don't).

Bear in mind LOTS Vader hadn't reached his Prime yet.

The mere notion that people think Vader is greater than Sidious in sabers is an insult to the live action films, his feats, and Vader's owning at the hands of Luke. Just stop.

Oh you.

So I got the new Vader comic. Incredible feats for Vader.

Did anyone read the comic where he crushes a holocron Kun-style?

Also, please note that the Vader Down planet is a nexus.

Where's it say the planet is a nexus?

I thought only the Jedi Temple was a nexus, and certainly not a dark side oriented one. Anyway, when did he crush a holocron? And the only good feat he got is repelling torpedoes anyway.

Blocking a tank cannon shot is pretty good and activating multiple detonators is a pretty good control feat.

He crushed it at the end of Star Wars #12.

He also chucked boulders at the Y Wing and soloing that massive Rebel army.

Vader says "There is power in this place. I feel it stirring. This World... was once the site of a Jedi Temple."

One could argue though that the planet isn't a nexus but rather Vader senses the nexus. But I also got the sense that the planet was just stronger in the force than usual.

Ah saw it, but tbh I don't think that really amps him...or at least I don't see anything to suggest it, cause his feats are pretty in line with what he has shown thus far.

Where exactly are you getting that sense from?

It's just the way I read it. I'm not arguing that the planet is a nexus or anything, but that was my interpretation of the scene.

Do nexuses work the same way in canon as they do in Legends?

So he is amped. Good Anakin, good.

And here we go......

So you want to ignore this part of the story. It figures.

It does not say it amps him. You will you even someone's own interpretation to bring down one of your fave targets.

Amp city. Vader needed an amp to deal with rebels. 😉

Quan has all the ammo he needs now to spam and ruin this thread.
