Iranian Agreement goes through

That's a great point. People can say oh it's just a stupid book. But again it's typical downplaying that people rely on to circumvent the problem.

I don't know what would be the point, but I can totally see it. Though it seems like most people here just flat out ignored the tidbit about this book.

The point is what do we do about a country where the Ayatollah is publishing books like this? The problem is the people of Iran do not feel it is a "stupid" book. We need to stop pretending these people ever wanted peace. The same government that has several weeks to prepare for an inspection is now putting out books on how to outwit us.

Even if nobody is silly enough to try to defend this book(I'm almost relieved, I figured someone here would) it still can't be ignored. How can we trust this country when the Ayatollah publishes and supports this crap?

I think you need to distinguish between the Revolutionary aspect of Iran and Iran as a nation/populace.

I'm judging them by their leaders who apparently support this kind of thinking.

Imagine if the world judged Americans by the actions of their leaders.

We would all be saints like Hilary and Obama.

I don't like argue about propaganda for a number of reasons.

Will the lack of economic sanctions translate into a better economical situation for the Iran population?

And blessed with intelligence like Bush.

Bush couldn't be that dumb, he flew jets. Pretty sure it was a show or he was drunk.

On the radio a guy was talking about this deal and made the claim that when it comes to inspections no Americans are allowed to do it. I find this suspicious and I don't think it is true, but I thought I'd post it here anyways.

Just going to leave this here: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/08/09/world/29-us-scientists-praise-iran-nuclear-deal-in-letter-to-obama.html?hp&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&module=first-column-region&region=top-news&WT.nav=top-news&_r=0

So we're getting foreign policy advice from some scientists now? LOL 🙄 😆 🙄 😂

Yeah, I know, nothing is true unless it comes from the mouth of a radio personality or a network news anchor or a freshman congressman, but these eggheads probably know at least a little something about nuclear regulations.

I say that since we will be sending Iran (Whom is the #1 financial supporter of terrorism in the world) 140 Billion bucks that if there is any attack that kills people and any of it can be traced back to Iran. Then every politician that helped write, support or voted for this bill, then they should be legally held accountable to the deaths of those attacks.

ANYBODY LIKE THIS IDEA?

That's a nice fantasy you've got there.

No.

I don't understand what you are trying to say. I mean, I understand it, but are you trying to say we shouldn't judge countries by their leaders? I know a leader of a nation doesn't actually represent the will of every single person in the nation, but they *do* have the power to make changes for good or bad, far more then the average citizen.

Say what you want about our leaders(and you could say a whole lot) but none have, in recent memory that I know of, flat out supported wiping out another country. Even the more outright racist ones in recent memory never really were all "lets support a book that talks about wiping another country off the map".

No, but if we are giving them billions it should be with a clause that if they attack us or any attack on us is traced back to Iran then they don't get the rest of the money.

Oh annnnd if any attacks are traced to them the nuclear deal we made with them gets a lot worse for Iran. There has to be consequences to Iran if they act up.

I think he's saying you shouldn't hate on Iran just because of its government.

If you've ever met an Iranian, you'll probably know that they're cool people--on average much nicer than Arabs or Israelis.

I think that if we held those that made these decisions accountable to their repercussions they would put more thought and effort into them......Well the politicians on the right would anyway..

Well their leaders talk about wiping countries off the map. Just saying...we need some of those cool Iranians leading, not the crazy ones.

To be fair, American leaders have a history of sabre rattling themselves...
