I just don't get how everyone still thinks Superman would stomp Goku.

The lack of feats should prove Goku to be his superior alone. Goku doesn't have universe busting feats, because he does his job, and STOPS the bad guys from universe busting, lol.

And in regards to the speed thing, yes, Superman has fought while flying FTL before. But that doesn't make his combat speed FTL.

If I'm in a jet, and flying at Mach 5, and then punch forward in the direction the jet is moving, it doesn't make my combat speed mach 5+, even though my fist was TECHNICALLY moving that fast, does it?

Superman can fly FTL, and punch someone at human speed, while he's holding them with his super strength. Otherwise, to fight someone, he has to take a boxer's stance, and fight them fisticuffs. And when he does that, Batman, Karate Kid, Spiderman, and plenty of other characters, have been able to casually trounce him, by dodging ALL of his attacks, and wrecking him with pique human strength and speed. While their blows obviously don't damage him, the fact that they can dodge all of his attacks, and land their own, just proves how slow his combat speed is.

It's not hard to see the DBZ argument as to why they'd win. At a very, very, low attack power, they are capable of destroying celestial bodies like the moon.

So that when stuff like that happens, a low or average showing, comic book characters look like total feebs in comparison.

Pre-saiyan sage Piccolo would be more than enough to take challenge comic elite:

If however, characters are measured at their full capacity or are allowed to use their plethora of feats accumulated through the years, it becomes clear that the comic book characters have greater feats under their belt and can't be matched by Goku and his relatively low amount of showings.

What I don't much get is sometimes a thread is made, and irrelevant of the power up (ssjg is a stupidly high amount of power, let's not say it's not), it's still a "stomp" in favor of the comic character, and I frankly don't see it as being a stomp for anyone unless Superman uses things he doesn't usually do or fights out of character to kill or something. In which case, there's not a lot of guys he can't beat. /shrug.

This same Supes has been dropped by far less than what you just brought up. Space cheese fts are nice and dandy but when you have people that is less in power than Krillin taking you out and it's consistent, that's when you need to weigh things. Looking at space cheese fts, people like Hulk and Superman should outright stomp someone like Thanos or Darkseid but it's obvious it's much more than what you are throwing out there. When it comes to COMBAT, no elite is on DBZ characters level. There's no comparing them; but, when you just focus on Majestic pushing a planet vs people like Thanos or Galactus not having those type of fts, that's when you need to use common sense. Superman is not walking through a moon busting attack unscathed, hell, it would probably injure him but people like Nappa, even while weakened, could tank that crap. It is what it is. Can you see an elite standing in the heart of an attack that is seen on the outskirts of space with them having a smile on their face? No, you can't and it will never happen. Early DBZ character swim in stuff like that. The power level in DBZ is on another level imo. Space cheese fts doesn't change this. Also, people should realize that DBZ is an universe of MARTIAL ARTISTS, while comics are not: usually in comics, when a guy displays martial artist abilities he is feared and considered a worthy opponent, despite maybe not having particularly great superpowers.
Now, imagine a martial artist, with the enormous level of power that top tier DB characters possess, dropped in comics: this character would cause absolute havoc on a quite high degree and it would be blatantly stupid to say otherwise.

Being said so, it's clear that this "debate" should not go any further: I personally think that your response is the most reasonable and nothing better could ever come out from here.

I want you to show me one post where I debate primarily off of space cheese fts. Have you ever seen me say Thor punches will not hurt Hulk because Hulk has walked through attacks that would destroy adamantium? Etc, etc... I would never give Hulk a single win against DBZ characters because their powers are on another level.

There are people that defeated elites and I'm talking about strong people that has defeated elites that Goku would treat like fodder and probably laugh at their attempts.

The ONLY WAY this becomes a fight is when we look at high fts only, space cheese fts. Anything outside of that and Goku merks. Question, Gladiator has ripped planets in half, tanked solar system busting blasts, swam through a gas giant. Punched a moon to dust and ripped a black hole in half. Why does people say Thanos could beat him? Hell, people are giving Wonder Woman the edge against him. Why? With the fts I've named, she shouldn't be able to hurt him, let alone put a scratch on him.
