Didn't episode 2 tell us how? Can't remember off hand. Why does that even matter. Blowing up planets isn't destroying a Universe. Destroying a Universe is destroying everything. Don't know why you all keep questioning words from people that can read power signatures. That's like calling a temperature reader a lie.

I never said they lied or they were wrong. I said it's possible they were wrong since there have been times when people in DB have been wrong before.
Also you do realize thermometers can be wrong right?
But enough of the straw manning please. I asked because there are a variety of different ways to this could be accomplished. Can he destroy the universe with a casual ki blast? Does he need to charge and focus an attack to do it? Does he need to blow himself up to do so? This is very important seeing as how we have people like Goku that can take pretty much anyone out with a Spirit Bomb but it's not very feasible in a 1 on 1 fight

When were DBZ characters like Goku, Gohan, Krillin, etc...ever wrong about power readings?
It can be but it's also a reliable source. Depends on the mechanism you are using tbh.

Goku was wrong about Frieza's power when they first fought. He was completely shocked when Frieza took the kid gloves off.
Gohan was wrong about Goku during the Cell Games. He thought Goku's power was much higher than it was.
I could be wrong but I think Gohan was wrong about Buutenks. He still thought he could take him but nope.
The point is it's possible for them to be wrong here or them to be exaggerating here. You acting like it's an impossibility is silly, especially when they really would not have any idea on how much power it would take to destroy the universe. Planetary power they can assess since they've dealt with it, solar system power same. They have never dealt with a universe buster before or even anything close. To me it sounds like a wild ass stab in the dark. Granted it could be dead on but since we have no reference it's hard to take this just at a word

Wasn't Frieza the first person he ran across that was able to transform into other beings with greater power? Frieza is the exception.
He thought Goku was hiding/holding back some of his power. Gohan never said he was unable to read the power level Goku was at during the moment. He thought Goku wasn't going all out. Lol...that isn't reading a power level in accurately...that's Gohan thinking his dad was hiding more than what he 'sensed'.
You are wrong though.
Sigh...Goku never dealt with a planet buster before meeting Vegeta but he knew what he was capable of. Are you trying to throw this off on if the Kai's and Z fighters are smart enough to know if Beerus is capable of destroying a Universe? Really? Especially the Kai's...the over see'ers of the Universe. Let's be real here.

Lol...smart man... you know not to answer that question. Has anyone read Galactus power level and capabilities and quoted he could destroy a universe?

He fought a fully transformed Frieza. He was wrong about Frieza's power and started to get curbed stomped
Exactly, he thought Goku was capable of more than he actually was. Same thing could be happening here with Beerus. Gohan could very accurately sense ki and was still wrong about Goku's limits
I don't think I am. Gohan said something along the line of "you should have absorbed me if you wanted to be the strongest" meaning he still felt as if he was superior to Buutenks and he wasn't
Goku HAS dealt with planet busters tho. Roshi was one. Piccolo was one. He had a very accurate reference point to gauge Vegeta's blast from. There is NOTHING in DB that would give him a accurate idea of what a universe buster is. He doesn't even know how big the universe is.
Again the Kai's are not all knowing. And even if they are correct, they don't tell us how it would be done
Sigh...I will respond to your post Juggerman but I want to know...how powerful is this blast? Mountain buster, moon Buster, planet, etc, etc...
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SFw413DnhcQ
When you answer that, please let me know how you came up with your answer.
I think Carver is saying that with the power characters sense from Beerus indicates the amount of destruction he can cause. Which is different from your Frieza example. Goku knew how much power he was sensing but did not know the debts of his total power.
And the Kai's did seem pretty sure about what they said

👆
Perfect way of saying it. They can sense the power/capabilities of whatever power they are up against. That's how they are able to tell if a character can give them a fight or if said character will be nothing to them.

I don't think you will respond to my post. At least not directly to what I've said. Why do you feel the need to divert the convo all the time?
Basic answer to your question: It is beyond a planet buster. I know this because we've seen planet busters in DB and so have the characters. They can accurately tell the power it would take to bust a planet.
Now it's your turn. When have they ever felt something close to a universe busting attack or ki? How would they be able to discern a universe buster from a galaxy buster? Or a multi galaxy buster? They would need a measuring point which they don't have at all

Once more you're deflecting by posting nonsense. That blast doesn't matter. You claimed Beerus is a universe buster with no fear to back it up.
I claimed true Universe busters are beings like Anti Monitor and Galactus, you claimed for scans. I responded by asking you to show me feats of Beerus displaying anything above planet busting. You can't, so deflect by posting Cell, a character that stop being relevant the second the next bad guy showed up.
You claim some bullshit about power level sensing. Yet others here as giving you proof that is not 100% accurate in the form of Goku/Frieeza, Gohan/Goku and a few others.
Now, show me proof of Beerus being a Universe buster, let alone a galaxy buster, let alone a solar system buster and I'll concede.
Beerus like everyone else in the DBZ verse are planet+, or how many plus you want to add buster.
Can Beerus destroy a Universe? No one knows yet since he hasn't demonstrated it. So you can't just claim he cans without proof.
Until he shows to destroy a Universe, then his a planet+. No more no less.
