I wouldn't call him a weakling because he can't survive in the sun.

The premise I found pretty good about Broly wasn't that he was just powerful, but the fact that he's energy level seemed limitless.

In the first movie, it was showned that Broly had to continuously release his ki since his body couldn't handle.

We know in Dbz, as long as you have Ki, you can still fight. Now imagine Broly with a body that can harness that much energy with no negative feedback.

I actually want for Akira to make Broly canon.

The weakling cause he can't survive the sun thing wasn't serious. Nobody in DB has the ability to survive in the sun.

I doubt Akira will make Broli canon. There's kinda no point for Cell level characters to come around now. He'd have to make Broli ...the actual Legendary Super Saiyan God for it to matter and what's the point in crazy psycho god when there's already Bills.

Goku was right at the sun during his fly in to Namek. Also, the sun didnt kill Broly, Goku blast did.

So goku is the superior being? He could hold/control more power than broly at the end of the movie.

I always thought that scene was showing that his power was always growing. Not that he need to release it because he couldnt handle it.

Remember the Super Saiyan legend Vegeta talked about? How the LSSJ grew to powerful and was eventually destroyed by his own power? Well I think that is what was happening to Broly. His power was becoming too much for his body to handle and if he didn't purge it, he would have kerploded

Filler/non canon

It wasn't just Goku's blast. Gohan and Goten assisted. Also yes the sun did kill Broly.

The blast exploded when it hit the sun. Yes, it killed him. The sun probably aided after that though.

The blast exploded and then he died iirc. I'm pretty sure his bio said the sun killed him too. If someone could look into that it would be helpful. I can later but not right now

https://youtu.be/A9B4ERFvNro

It explodes, then he has his heart explode, and then explodes and his energy explodes out the other side of the sun. Last time I checked... Kamehameha doesn't explode your heart, or cause you to explode either kinda of just blasts you apart. Also you never see his shield bust from the Kamehameha.

Yeah he didn't start breaking apart until after he hit the sun.

Again, it was also a wish from the Dragon Balls that was the real defeat of Broli. There was a wish, then Trunks threw his tiny ball of ki that stopped a blast from Broli miraculously, Broli then couldn't get any energy to the giant ball that he had previously been powering, THEN the triple kamehameha broke through and threw him into the sun where he dies.

Actually no.

Goku can only harness a certain level of power until he reaches another plato of power. I.E base Goku to Kioken Goku, to SSJ Goku and so forth.

Where as Broly powers are limitless, somehow his body continuously pumping more ki into him without stopping. That's something he can't control. That is the Legend of the Legendary SS. He continue to gained more power, and if said powers are not release, he overloads.

That's why in the movie we saw him randomly releasing his powers.

I am Goku, and I am not sun proof.

Shut up Carver.

Hahaha this thread is hilarious.

this thread could be over if toriyama gave goku some tangible feats instead of making every dbz fight just like the last.

I get this but I was just saying Goku was superior in some sense because his body could hold more Ki than Broly (not generated)

I have no problems with that.

Keep dreaming.

They're high on meth. Goku one-shots Superman and Abhiman at the same time.

Great you're back! Now will you concede Broly isn't a galaxy buster or will you still fight the truth?
