Your logic requires using Cap's best and ignoring Superman's best. We go by Booth's best and Superman is still so hilariously above Cap if he's murderous he smashes Cap's head even with the Power Ring auto-shields. And so much faster than Cap that he doesn't even see Superman. All "Cap's skills are better and he has his shield!!" are utterly irrelevant.
