Some will probably have family here. Some industries such as food processing employ migrants almost exclusively so job opportunities. Some no doubt for healthcare treatment they couldn't afford in another country. It would have to be a good reason to want to go to the rain soaked poverty ridden shithole towns in Britain they end up living in though.

I'm pretty certain even BBC mentioned that they go after benefits, and that's why they're so determined. TBH though, I was watching it a month or so ago so may that's not the case.

It's £56 per week in France and only £36 in the uk couples get even less per person in the uk. They do get money for kids in the uk though but not in France.
