That's a red herring, lol. The point they were making was that Vitiate can't do it in a combative situation such as this, not in dubious circumstances like on Ziost. Is there proof Vitiate can just use such powers at will without any form of prep? Because there is for Sidious.

Uh, Luke's concealed his presence from everything in the galaxy except Ben Skywalker, which made everybody else think he was dead. Luke also generated Illusions of ships that were so realistic they it actually became physical copies of the target. IIRC, he also scared Caedus by making him see a fleet of illusory ships. Pretty sure those are all superior displays of Mastery than what Palpatine's feats entail. Palpatine's raw knowledge of Force powers is probably greater, though, but not by any meaningful margin in a fight like this.Luke learnt Fold Space, which allows him to manipulate the fabric of space as well. He also wrecked Abeloth with Mnemotherapy in Conviction.
Lol @ concealment. Palpatine was able to hide his enormous power right to Yoda's face.
In turn, Luke's kewl illusions will probably not matter in a fight like this. However, I'd wager Palpatine's mastery of abilities like force maelstrom and force storm would be instrumental. 👆
And manipulating space =/= annihilating it.

1. Their Sensory powers were already affected by the Dark Side Shroud, so whilst it's a monumental feat, it's not the same as Luke shutting off his presence immediately to everybody in the galaxy except a select individual.
2. The point was that his Mastery is up there with Palpatine's. Luke's Tutaminis and stronger Telekinesis will matter, though, as will his Force Light/Fold Space.
3. Why would he annihilate space itself as a light sider?

He never did it instantly and during combat. Sidious did.

Force Drain powers can be unleashed with a gesture. 😬
In that case, Sidious can do it as well, lol. He's demonstrated planet-wide Drain as well.
And Vitiate's apocalypse on Ziost isn't something he can unleash with a gesture, lol, until you can prove it.

I recall following at the moment:- Star Wars: The Ultimate Visual Guide
- Star Wars: The Ultimate Visual Guide: Updated and ExpandedI am sure there are more.
They don't contradict that at all. And that's the source which says Sidious can manipulate Sith spirits/essences, so yeah, that'll serve him well against Vitiate.
Also, LOL, you just mentioned another republishing of a source. Granted, they did actually add information, but regardless, it's a republishing.

1. I'm liking the Valkorion wank there. And shutting down your force presence/presence isn't really comparable mastery to Sidious's and the force Storm.
2. Up there, but I wouldn't say equal to or superior. His stronger TK would only mean he won't get ragdolled, and I doubt he can force light Palpatine alone, considering it took the combined latent energies of Luke/Leia/Lil unborn Solo to break his control in the first place. Sidious precision force storms Valkorion while he's beating up Skywalker.
3. And Palpatine's force Storm as a means of teleportation is just as good as if not better than Luke's, too.

1. Of course it's not comparable. They're entirely different examples. You can't compare the two.
2. It also means he can Push Sidious at any opportune moment. And Force Light is a power you can use on your own. Harmony is different. Light will still affect Palpatine, especially if Valkorion is also attacking them.
3. It's not going to be better, since it's less wieldy and not as immediate as Fold Space.

showed the ability to teleport himself. Fold Space is specifically teleporting other objects. [/B]
Is there a reason why a person doesn't count as an object?
1. Well yeah, but in terms of sheer mastery of force powers, the concealment is concealment, and the force storm is the most difficult to master dark side power in history.
2. Pushing Sidious probably won't stop an "instant" force storm. Hell, I wonder why Luke didn't think of that in DE :mmm:
The question is whether or not Luke will overwhelm Palpatine with light, which I doubt he will.
3. Ant stomp.

However, it is important to concentrate on the specifics.
Darth Sidious performed Consume Life Essence on Byss. However, it is unclear whether he mastered other forms of Force Drain powers or not insofar.
In contrast, Vitiate have performed different expressions of Force Drain ranging from Consume Life Essence to Deadly Field.
