5 dimensional Imps Or the NEW Beyonders

Yea, she was screwing with his powers. Iirc he said something about being punch drunk.

Whatever she was doing to his power was keeping him there.

Read the other page, "Imp to magic return".

Guess what happened, his magic returned.

I don't want to get too far into it, because Galan is right it's an extreme outlier

from another thread though:

False.

1. Prime busted into the 5th dimension and pulled Mxy back to the third, and did so under his own power (off panel).

2. Let's set the scene:

Prime has been torturing Annataz, and she's totally broken. He approaches her, and she speaks the spell "no magic for imp" because she doesn't want Prime to torture her. Prime knows better, though:

Prime to Annataz: "You keep saying stuff, but you aren't doing anything but keeping that Mix- that imp here."

Prime to Mxy: "Her magic's not as powerful as yours"

So, Annataz wasn't doing anything to depower Mxy. That much was a ruse she tried to get out of torture. In fact, she isn't powerful enough to depower Mxy. Prime says it, nobody denies it.

3. Mxy gets stabbed by a spike and Prime believes him dead. Only, Mxy pops back up without a hole in him. Mxy is clearly capable of using magic.

Neat.

Her magic depowered him and he could barely do anything until she gave it back.

This was explicitly shown. 😬

Some of Mxy's dialogue in that comic also implied that he was flat-out f*cking with Prime for the lulz:

...The entire book is just one giant clusterf*ck, tbh.

Is there a DC Asgard?

Yes. In fact, DC introduced Norse mythology way before Marvel... The latter has just placed a lot more emphasis on it over the years.

Odin and Asgard are actually pretty important in DCU.

And yet, it was explicitly shown that Mxy could use magic during the period Annataz was supposedly blocking him 😬

Yes, he wasn't powerless, just depowered.

Glad we got that cleared up.

Do they know Mxy is pretending to be Loki?

Meh, supposition.

How did Prime pull Mxy from the 5th dimension against his will and get him to that point? Annataz didn't have anything to do with that.

It's no supposition though, that's exactly what the comic showed.

He couldn't leave because he was being depowered. She allowed him full access to his powers and he was able to leave. It's pretty clear.

I don't know or really even care, it's irrelevant to the fact that Annataz was depowering him once he was there.

My brain hurts every time Mindset debates and is not talking about rape.

pretty sure someone hijacks his account on occasion. 👆

But the BeyonderS have been around since 1980, grant it by statements only,
but by 1988, we got a small taste of an actual Beyonder (from the race) on panel, 25 years ago.

The 'High Evolutionary' once travelled to a distant part of 616
where the BeyonderS had a museum of Planets they played with,
and actually got a glimpse of one of the BeyonderS. (well, most of an arm anyway)

It also states that the experience of witnessing this Beyonder's arm made him go insane!

It's the only depiction we eve saw, until Hickman's mind came into play.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The High Evolutionary "witnesses a sight that renders him speechless"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The H.E. is pretty powerful,
but more importantly is how much he knows
and how much he's seen in the Cosmos, ... and that's practically everything.

Anyway, he goes insane from realizing how grand the BeyonderS are, and immediately decides to kill himself: 😂

He can't kill himself, so he succeeds by having the Hulk bash him out of his armor:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the end, his "god-like" techno-armor reforms him completely, and he regains his sanity.

The cool thing here is, the H.E. considers the BeyonderS the pinnacle of the Cosmos,
and uses them as a reference point to what Mankind has to surpass via evolution to rule the Cosmos.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The H.E. isn't just a human mind btw. He's evolved far beyond humanity.

The H.E. only saw an arm of a Beyonder,
and it was enough to drive him insane to the point of killing himself.

I think the writer was trying to make a point here you feel me?

Especially how he points out that the H.E. seen all kinds of cosmic crazy
and taken it in stride
... until he sees this
.

I also don't think it was just the,
seemingly lightyears spanning sized arm that drove him mad,
it was actually the realization of how far more grandiose the BeyonderS were next to him.

Just saw this.

H-E freaked out(to the point of trying to commit suicide) just from seeing a giant arm form among the stars and move a planet? Lol.

Imagine if he'd of seen an Infinite. 😂

^^ 😂 ... Although, it was a bit more than the arm.

You know, now that you mention it, wonder if Hickman ever knew about the Infinites?

They seemed kinda "Beyonder-ish" in their own right during their brief publication.

Cool, under those specified restrictions you have a point,
but I hope you see the light in my perspective above.

I do, but under those restrictions (not mine, mind), 5D imps (not including Mxy) ARE more powerful than the NEW Beyonders.

Depends where your perspective comes from:

The NEW Beyonders: where one fell to Starbrand explosion, and one got warped by Ex Nihilo.
Although ONE of those Beyonders was stomping Thor/Hyperion easily.
Yet in pure retarded fashion, Thor/Hyperion smash several similar BeyonderS before dying.

The NEW Beyonders: stomped all Celestials, all Eternity/Infinity in every universe, then the Living Tribunal itself.
And only receiving a damaged arm in the process which was immediately recreated.

Which NEW Beyonders are we using?

Well on this board, we take an average.

If you can imagine a scale, where Thor/Hype are 1, and killing the LT is 100, they're a 50. So take both into account.

Whereas on average, 5D imps are pretty high up. In your plethora of scans, do you have the low showings of them, to arrive at your conclusion?

The Beyonders > The living tribunal > Mr.Mxyzptlk

Seriously......no debate its a no brainer the Beyonders were PIS+CIS for secret wars to begin.

😂
